Simple Mod to Luke Cage/Power Man

Even though I am a graphic artist by profession I don't do a lot of customizing. I do however love a lot of the customs that I see on here and it always makes me want to do some. Especially Jin Saotome he is great.

Anyway, Power Man was one of my most anticipated figures from wave 14 and he is great. however his left hand is really terrible. So I popped a hand off an old six inch Silver Surfer (not ML) and painted it brown and popped in on Power Man. I think it makes the figure look a lot better and it's very simple to do. Next I am going to paint the boots all yellow and I may do the pants in dark blue (not sure yet).

Yeah, that looks a little odd, not too happy about that.

 

The modification on the hand is good though, the previous one was a little strange looking.

yeah for some reason toybiz used two different shades of brown on his chest and face and I think we can all agree that the face is too dark. I don't think I am going to change it though it really doesn't bother me that much in person.

 

The hand really did bother me because it looked terrible (so I changed it).

 

It is a great figure! In my opinion ML14 holds up with the other waves and I can't wait for 15.

CRAP! I have been sooooo looking forward to this figure. Why...WHY did they have to screw it up in such an obvious way?!?!?!?!?

Really I think once you get it you will see that it does not ruin the figure IMHO

 

And the face sculpt is really really good. Its not perfect (obviously) but it is a great figure.

Yeah but I had no need for FA Spider-Man so I didn't care but I agree with you. There are some other bad hand guys you are right but this was the worst I had see and on a character I really wanted.

Well I always liked his Costume (this one) from when I was little and his powers a really simple which I always thought was cool (he has super strengh and he is somewhat invulnerable)
