Found ML Icon Series 2 at TRU

Saw the second series of ML Icons today at TRU here in NoVa. They had both the regular and variants. I was gonna pass on this wave but decided to go on and get the Green Hulk and regular Venom.

Did you happen to spy any X-Men Classics Series 3 while there? I'm also from Northern Virginia.

Nope have yet to see any trace of X-men series 3, ML 14 and only seen remains of SMC 18 at 1 target in Germantown MD.

I got the regular ones today too. Haven't seen the variants yet and I want those soooo bad.

I went everywhere in my area yesterday looking for everything but Icons, and Icons were the only things I found.

 

They had series 2 at TRU in my area aswell, and it really got me angry, cause they didn't even have any ML13. and they had plenty of room. Nothing has been restocked in a month or two, except, apparently they felf the need to put some new Icons out.

I would love to collect those and every time I walk into a store and see them, I can't stand it...

I found the variants today at my TRU. I beat out a guy who was looking for them who gets a whole lot in my area my literally less than a minute.

 

The Grey Hulk is my Favorite Icon by far. I think I will get the S1 Wolvie now. Passed on him due to space but the Grey Hulk has renewed my interest.

 

Another neat fact is the fading on the Venom/Brock head. You can actually see where the white of Venom's eyes are coming in. These are amazing pieces by TB.

I'm actually worried about finding the series 2 variants. I was planning on ordering them from cornerstorecomics.com when they got their shipment of Icons2 in. Well, they got their shipment in yesterday and they got NO variants. ZERO. They got tons of variants when Icons1 came out, but none at all with Icons2. That REALLY sucks. Then I asked a clerk at TrU today about the grey Hulk and he said he's only seen ONE grey Hulk pass through the store. FUUUUUDGE.

 

I know these haven't hit Walmart and Target yet and that's the only reason I'm not freaking out and running to ebay for them. My impatience is starting to get the better of me though...

which tru did you find them at? the super tru in fairlakes or somewhere? let the hunt begin in nva here. let me know if you spot the x-men classic.

No Skipps, the Hulk is rowdy. You just have to see it close up. The detail is amazing.

The Variants for Cap and Wolvie are the official shelfwarmers from Icons1, along with the yellow Iron Man. They're everywhere here too.

 

So far I'm getting the impression more variants were produced for Icons1 than for Icons2. I've heard stories of people finding the variants, but I've heard way more stories of stores just getting the regular Icons. The fact the Cornerstore Comics didn't get any Icon2 variants at all is crazy! That really freaks me out.

 

But I am going to force myself to be patient and wait and see what Walmart and Target get when this wave finally fully hits.

 

The Hulk and Venom variants are my most wanted figs right now, even surpassing ML14.

The Hulk is AWESOME up close.

 

And Venom... well, I wasn't sure I even wanted this fig at all because I barely give a crap about the character and the pics were all kinda blah. I'll tell you what - The figure is amazing up close. Venom is now my favorite of the Icons so far.

 

I actually think I prefer the Icons to the regular 6" Marvel Legends.
