Star Wars Sale at TRU this week

Toys "R" US is having a sale this week on basic Star Wars figures. In their weekly flyer advertising their "Big Toy Blowout", they're pushing figures from the "Heroes and Villians" collection for $5.99. Regular retail is $6.99. Thanks to Sean Baker for the info.

 

Apparentlly it's just those figures (The ROTS figures on new cards), not the regular basic. Which is a shame, because I've been waiting for a sale to pick up some figures not quite worth $6.99 to me (which is most figures, @smilepunch@ ).

@hmmm@ hopefully they will have some stink'n clones for once. the one by me had 1 f'ed up holo yoda and some crappy carkoon figs. what a joke, and this was after the aisle reset. @grumpy@

Yeah...it's just the ROTS repacked stuff that's on sale. Hasbro has sent my store somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 cases of these pegwarmers, apparently convinced that the spiffy new TSC packaging will make them fly off the pegs...and the powers-that-be at TRU's Home Office are also convinced that the sale price will help with that as well...

 

Figures like Preggo Padme are not exactly on everyone's Top 10 list...but hey, I don't work for Hasbro... @hmmm@

Dang, I thought I was wrong, cause at another forum someone said all the figures were on sale. I'll price check them if I make it to TRU tomorrow or whenever!

Dude, where do you live? I've seen one Green Commander and two 501st Troops total in my area (I of course bought them all.)

Heh, I'd either call BS or be amazed at anyone claiming they have clones warming pegs, especially at a TRU. Before this sale hit most employees/scalper friends horde all the clones for Ebay hauls. I hit my TRU as usual the day of the sale, but of course, there was anything but a clone on the pegs.

i haven't seen a clone @ tru in awhile. my wal-mart stock more clones than tru or target in my area.

instead of checking the stores, try the trader post at rebelscum. i scored a ton of clones within the last 2 weeks for 3-5 bucks each shipped! i received 4 red clones for 16 shipped (the ones from the senate pack). people seem to be dumping stuff for cheap as they are waiting for the new items/clones to come out. case in point, 13 clones shipped for 2.25 each. sweet score for me.

Finally hit the only close TRU today and ALL BASIC FIGURES ARE $5.99, not just ROTS/hero-villian great battle repacks. Now it might be that way everywhere, but if there's figures you've been putting off getting, now's a good time. I finally got Garindan, who is nice, but his cloak seems too small, and I got another Utapau Clone Trooper, with a red hologram. Didn't know they were still shipping. They had another one, too. No other clones, one wookie warrior repack and gobs of underappreciated Firespeeder pilots. Looks like ROTS Emporer Palpatine has returned to rewarm pegs, too. UNLIMITED PEG SPAAAACE!!

 

Strangely all the Hem Dazons were gone, but Wave 1 carkoon warmers were back in effect, especially Barada.

I broke down and got another C3PO, Chirpa and Tank Gunner today due to the sale.
