you know what... 45 is probably actually worth it... you don't have to hunt, no gas, etc...

but, I just don't do that. I never, ever, pay marked up prices for new toys. its just my principle.

what he said.....again

Same here! @can@

I'd like to be able to say the same, however, when I know I'll never find it cheaper, I cave. I got a FF movie Doombot for $15. Sure, it was twice the retail cost, but try finding one for $15 now. Sometimes you just have to accept the inflated prices if you really want it.

In that case you probably made a good call. I don't think the chances of that particular figure getting rereleased are very high. Kang and DM though seem more likely. If anything I'd say Hasbro being in charge of the line increases the liklihood of a rerelease. Star Wars and G.I.Joe collectors know that Hasbro is king of repacks.

I'm one of the lucky few who actually found a Doombot at retail. Maybe I'm waiting for lightning to strike twice or something. I don't know.

If I wanted these figs bad enough, I'd cough up the $45 without a second thought. However, these are figures I'd only pick up if I happened to come across them at Target while hunting for something else, which is what i have done with every SMC fig I have. I don't see myself ever going out looking for these two specifically.

I'd like to get them both, but even if I never do, I'm fine with that.

Wasn't it for preorders in the first place or was it ever in stock?

As a buyer, I saw implicit costs (gas, price @ TRU, time, vehicle use) & thought this would easier. Since Target & WM carry everything else besides, it saves me trips to 2 local TRU a good distance from each other.

I love the hunt, don't get me wrong, but I don't have a Meijers, KB, or any local cbs that sell these, so I'm fine with buying online.

btw, thanks Canonball for posting this. They sold out fast!

No sweat! I know people are after these figs hardcore, and I saw a post for them at amoktime.com over at Fwoosh and just thought I'd post it over here too since there isn't a ton of cross traffic.

I hope the people who really want them were able to get them.

another thing that kept me from buying them was that I collect both loose and MOC..

I wouldn't pay that much for some figures that I was going to open... and I wouldn't want to pay that much and not be able to play with them @lol@

I'm in the same boat. In fact, if I find only one of a figure I really like part of me want to find some flaw so that I will be forced to go ahead and open it up.

But then again, come on Clam, that stash you showed the other day could easily get you an army of Dragon Men. @smilepunch@

FANTASTIC FOUR CL AF SER 2 $138.00

Diamonds list for this week. I ordered my set from Legends last week and it still hasn't come yet (it got in Toronto on Friday but the whole thing was a mess and they've sent it from place to place and it takes over a DAY for something to go 20 minutes in the same city -- more time than from Montreal which took less than 24 hours) So it might be here today, I called to see if the store(had it delivered to an outlet because it was supposed to be there YESTERDAY as opposed to them delivering it TODAY -- obviously I should've just waited and had it delivered here today) got it and the lady said "I Very busy call back later thank thank" ...

That's just suggested. What individual stores charge varies. And I'm not sure about this, but I think that stores who spend more money with Diamond probably get better discounts from them. Same principle as Walmart and the other major retailers. They can charge less because they pay less for ordering items in larger quantities.

That $138 is the same price Diamond lists cases of ML at, but my comic shop sells them to me for $100.

I know its suggested, but for anyone on here who don't has them, can call their LCS and see if they're carrying them. Synchy, it's 12 figures so like...$11 US per figure. Pretty bad.

My case FINALLY came in at the outlet so I have to go pick it up, I'll go later. Now watching, every LCS here (all 20 or w/e of them) will now get these from Diamond.

Just got my set, they all look great. I got a variant clear Sue the ONE time I didn't want a variant. Oh well, still cool.

Congrts! Did you get it from Amoktime?

Where'd you get it and how much did you end up paying in total?

Naw, Legends. It came to about $75 everything included for the 5 figures.

I'd check the comic stores in Toronto today if I were you.
