Just wanted to consolidate & talk about Icons on here... I hope I'm not locked or deleted.

 

Masked Cap has been my favorite fig from TB this entire year. Over Giant Man series. Over BOTBG series.

 

I bought 2 of him just to have 1 MOC & 1 MOMC.

 

Grabbed the other 5 over the past week. I love WM resets!

 

I literally sold my ML MOC collection since I don't have much room to display them, but I have plenty for these guys. I think they are so displayable in the package compared to ML...

I got both caps at KB Toys. A friend of mine got the whole set at our wal-mart but they were sold out by the time I got there.

Decided to buy a 2nd masked Cap yesterday so I could have a great display for Civil War with some of these Icons. Also grabbed a 2nd unmasked Cap, too... I'm done with series 1 & 2 now.

 

That puts my grand total @

 

2 masked Cap's (1 loose, 1 MOMC)

2 unmasked Cap's (1 loose, 1 MOMC)

1 unmasked AXM Wolverine

1 regular Venom

1 regular Hulk

1 gold IM

 

Yeah, I've embraced these since I haven't bought ML since early June (Onslaught)... found 'em all @ retail, too.

 

Who is looking forward to series 3?

I'm just waiting to get the Venom from wave 2 and then a Spider-man from wave 3. I'll probably get 2 Venom's though cause I'll try and fit it in my car some how

Yeah, I'm still trying to find the masked Cap (only seen it once and the box was destroyed) and have yet to find the Gold IM (that one I will buy regardless of the condition of the box). Those things are flying off the shelves here. Didn't know they were so popular.

i haven't seen them in canada yet!! and i've only seen two, and unmasked cap, and a gold IM at a target in the states!! i'd like one of each, but i could do without the unmasked ones, and i'd rather have the yellow IM over the gold!!

I've seen every one but variant Wolverine here now. Unmasked Cap and both IMs are all over the place. Masked Cap is gone and masked Wolverine is really rare.

Its either open or its not & I think you mean mosc mint on sealed card

MOC & mib = fake wanabe term used by those who open there stuff & try to keep it looking like its misb/mosc

Odds are you will not, or at least only at comic shop type stores

 

& that is one crazy icons collection, you should not have sold you're ML though guy, who knows how many icons they will bother to make...

 

They complain about costs of plastic as well and bafs & then put these suckers out for only twice the price of MLs?.. Sorry but I can not see them lasting more than a few more waves. I must admit I would love it though if they used this style packaging for the regular MLs as well!! Would sure make it easyer to display than the clamshell packages!

I didn't sell all my collection, just the MOC; I have most ML in loose form, too.

 

There are already going to be 5 waves between TB & Hasbro:

 

Wave 1 - Cap, IM, AXM Wolvie

Wave 2 - Venom, Hulk

Wave 3 - Beast, Spidey

Wave 4 - Thor, brown Wolvie

Wave 5 - Punisher, Doom

 

Btw, a regular Hulk Icon on Ebay went for over $60 without shipping yesterday. People want these BAD!

I got Masked Wolverine this morning, and I saw a variant Iron Man, and regular Iron Man. But I got my variant Iron Man yesterday from my friend, and I found regular Cap on Tuesday.

 

I'm set for now till I find series 2 Venom.

Grey hulk and "unmasked" venom are the variants. as for the main line masked Cap is the only one i want so far, and he was a pain to find but i got him last week at a target, saw another masked cap at Walmart last night, but he had some weird white marks on his face, oh well now i think i'm set with Icons at least till that awesome Dr. Doom comes out

Hell Yeah, a Gambit would rule. I can see them making alot more x-men, and some avengers, etc.

i'm hoping they get a bit more into the B listers and not just the A, i realise since it's called "Icons" the odds of that (or even C listers) is slim. but i can hope, as far as the avengers go i'd love a Vision, with a Colorless Vision as the variant and not the dumb phasing crap we got stuck with in ML
