Heck, Hercules and Quicksilver are the same sculpts that were originally done to be in series 15 when it was going to be a 12 figure wave making up a Quinjet BAV. The protos from ToyFare were 1st shots, meaning they were the very earliest stage of prototype that got cast, before any adjustments, changes, etc were made so they were so rough they shouldn't have been shown and Jesse was mad they published the pics. From what was shown at SDCC and what wasn't shown publically but was shown at the "Vault" this series is only getting better, not worse.

This Quinjet BAF? is it going to be released or was it just something they were going to do :/

The Quinjet is yet another victim of Oil Cost. They aren't doing it as of right now. Hasbro will be able to IF they want to, but I don't expect it to ever see the light of day honestly. I really wish it had.

Look guys, didn't mean to come down so hard on MOC folks, but it's one thing that drives me crazy because MOST MOC'ers I know are thinking by keeping them pristine on card they'll be able to retire on their collection and are more concerned with the "value" of their collection than the joy of collecting them. They are concerned with the most trivial things and so anal, as illustrated by the concern that the packaging is changing, it drives me crazy. If you truly derive joy from seeing them in package and you really enjoy them that way then kudos and I'm happy for you. You have every right to having them that way. If you're keeping them in package for later resale and think you'll buy a new ferrari because all your ML's will appreciate like MOC Plastic Cape Jawas, then stop collecting toys right now and go buy stocks, cuz NO TOY MADE TODAY will appreciate like toys made in the 60's, 70's & 80's have (but that's another rant). Anyone wanting to make a profit off collecting toys is one of my biggest pet peeves. Anyway, again, if MOC makes you Happy, great, I'm genuinely happy for you.

Questions for those MOC'ers that are stressed over package changes in ML... Do you guys get this stressed with every line that changes? I mean SMC's gone through several changes. Star Wars changes all the time. Spawn's been through a bunch of packaging variations. TMNT has changed it's packaging a few times. G.I. Joe's been through half a dozen or so variations. I don't know of too many lines that don't revamp every once in a while, even if they do stay at the same company. Do folks drop these lines because they don't look the same side by side? Even if I were an MOC'er, I think part of the fun would be the variation in the packaging and coming up with something that was brought new vitality to the line and helped mark chapters in the products lifespan. I know, being a graphic designer myself and studying packaging, I find it pretty interesting to see packaging evolve and change over time. It helps mark time, trends, popular styles of the time, that kind of thing. I would think variation would make MOC collecting a lot more fun.

IMHO, Anytime you do something voluntarily that causes you stress if it's not done perfectly, then you should evaluate if it's something you should really be doing at all. Hobbies should be to alleviate stress, not cause them. Whether it's Golf or toy collecting, remember, it should all be about FUN!!!

haha, I agree with you about the value thing. I don't really care if they go up or down in value. I just like seeing them up on my wall. But I will also open up the figures that are my favorites. But those that think that action figures are going to appreciate like Superman's first appearance in Action Comics are delusional. Its like putting all of your money in one stock without properly understanding the company's financials, diving into their footnotes, and analyzing the MD&A - ok enough nerd talk. But I must say it is very tempting to sit there one day and open up a bunch of my MOC figures!

I'm with you on that. The first wave I'll skip, but SHehulk and Thor are too awesome to pass up. I just hope Shehulk isn't one per case... which it probably will be.

Hasbro ain't Toy Biz, 99% of the time, Hasbro ships their figures in even case ratios. At worst she'll be two per case while one or two big characters are shipped 3

Look guys, didn't mean to come down so hard on MOC folks,

It's ok. I just chalk it up to you being insane on account of opening toys.

MOC'ers I know are thinking by keeping them pristine on card they'll be able to retire on their collection and are more concerned with the "value" of their collection than the joy of collecting them.

I could care less about the value of them. Yeah it's nice if they are worth something but the onle way I would sell them is if a major, MAJOR emergency came up. At first maybe I thought about $$$ but know it's just fun.

They are concerned with the most trivial things and so anal, as illustrated by the concern that the packaging is changing, it drives me crazy.

For me it's more that I think my display looks better when the packaging is the same. I have this weird thing about things being symetrical. I apply that at work all the time and people always give me a hard time about it. It's kind of why I hate abstract art. To many weird things going on and it makes my eyes hurt. I find it more pleasing when things blend together well. Maybe it's some sort of OCD thing. I bet most MOC collectors have some form of OCD.

[NO TOY MADE TODAY will appreciate like toys made in the 60's, 70's & 80's have

Again Glaken makes a good point. So many people collect now vs. back in the day that it almost floods the market so to speak. Which of course drives the prices down. My economics teacher would be proud that I remember that.

Questions for those MOC'ers that are stressed over package changes in ML... Do you guys get this stressed with every line that changes?

I don't get stressed so much as I get irritated. Again it goes back to the symetrey thing for me. I like uniformity in my display.

I mean SMC's gone through several changes.

Yes, I know.....I'm still not happy about that.

Do folks drop these lines because they don't look the same side by side?

Not me. I'll keep buying ML if the package does change. I just might have to redo my display.

Even if I were an MOC'er, I think part of the fun would be the variation in the packaging

You have much to learn grasshopper.

Hobbies should be to alleviate stress, not cause them. Whether it's Golf or toy collecting, remember, it should all be about FUN!!!

I've never disagreed and agreed with one person so much.

(and open those darn TOYS DANG IT!!!)

Hmmm.....I disagree.

and they are mucking around with the arm articulation and insist articulation will not be lost....eh I don't know.

Actually, what they said was that range-of-motion won't be lost. That and articulation are two different things.

I wish TB had done a specific type of single hinge elbows and knees from the beginning. Not the big type that is on the larger figures, but rather the way they did some of the smaller and later era 5-6" figures. Where the back of the knee has a dip on either side so the lower leg can go almost parallel with the upper leg etc.

The reason I wanted this is because I hate the way the double hinge makes the arms and legs look more mechanical than organic.

It looks like Hasbro is talking about making that arm art. on Emma the norm, and that I REALLY don't like:

If that is the case I will quit buying them, but only time will tell...
