Hot Toys

I just got the Hot Toys 1/6 AVP ALIEN WARRIOR!!!

It is certainly the BEST 1/6 scale Alien figure out there. The sculpting is amazing as Hot Toys nails the detail to a 'T'!Every visible piece of this figure is sculpted down with Giger's "biomechnoid" style that he pioneered with the Alien design. The figure is a mix of plastic and soft (yet durable) rubber and the paint job on the figure (shades of black to dark gray) makes it VERY seamless so you can't tell unless you inspect closely. The whole torso is actually rubber and molded over a unique *new* body that HOT TOYS made especially for this figure (If you are familiar with the AvP Snap-Kit QUEEN,it is similar to that, just bigger and better).

Also...HOT TOYS did several things that just kick the figure up a few notches.

First off,the joints, namely the elbow joints along the inner elbow are covered by a thin layer of rubber to hide the plastic joints.Seriously, this thing looks like it jumped RIGHT out of the movie.Also...along the lower legs (on each) there is a set of tendons that connect between the upper and lower leg that stretch out when you move the knee joint...REALLY cool.To top it all off, there is a switch on the bottom of the Alien's elongated head that when pushed, will stretch the mouth open (complete with soft rubber along the jaw that realistically stretches with the opening mouth!) and push out the inner mouth which can be locked in place if you push the switch the whole way.

Assembly is minimal...you just have to put together his arm (hand-to-wrist and them arm to body),his leg (foot-to-ankle and leg to body) and then his four "tubes" on his back and a short "spike"...all trademark Alien stuff!

He is a monster and stands great next to the Hot Toys Predator and Colonial Marines...he genuinely looks imposing compared to the human figures (Hicks,Apone,etc.).I think I thoroughly enjoyed getting the Alien more than the Predator because I spent most of my time putting the Predator together and was frustrated with some of the delicate pieces...while assembly on the Alien took less than 10 min. and the figure is rather durable.Plus he looks like he came right out of the movie.

If you're a Hot Toys fan,an Alien fan,a Predator fan,whatever...this is an absolute MUST-HAVE for any collector. It is a stand-out of Hot Toys' workmanship and their attention to detail.Plus they NOW also have a body frame to hopefully make an ALIENS drone out of as well (since they have that license too).Great work Hot Toys!!!!

I've been wanting these frakkin Aliens Marines from the time I found out about them months ago but I haven't been able to find them at a reasonable price anywhere. I checked the sites listed above and only one of them had any in stock and it was $130 for a case and all I want are the marines & maybe one Alien. NOBODY on ebay has them either. Any of you guys have any good leads on them. I love Aliens. It's one of my favorite movies of all times but they ruined the franchise with all the movies that followed. I wish they'd gone with the original script idea that Cameron wanted to make. Oh well. I've got several of the old kenner figures but I really wish they'd done a true movie line. If any of you guys can help me score these, I'd appreciate it.

I do have the Batman snap kit figure and it's the best Batman Begins figure I've seen. Too bad they didn't do a 6" super poseable version of Batman.

I suppose it's tough to find just the Colonial Marines alone unless you live in Hong Kong,China,Singapore,Japan, etc. The only other place I can suggest is eBay and most online stores that sold them individually are already sold-out. You can now usually find them in the case sets only.

I have TONS of AvP and ALIENS Hot Toy Snap-Kit figures,I love them! :)

I managed to snag up an extra Apone and Drake and mixed and matched their parts to make a black Smartgun Private (Apone head & arms on Drake's body) and a sleeveless Marine (Drake's head and arms on Apone's body). However it was real tough to find a Hicks and the ones I did see were going around $20-$25 a pop!

They have Ripley and Drake in-stock as well as some of the Alien drones. I'm sure if you've seen eBay then you'll know this is about the 'average' going price for these guys.

Hot Toys does make the most amazing 1:6 licensed figures I ever seen...

But for best overall 1:6 toy company DiD still has all companies beat. Don't believe me, just look at some of their military figures or better yet their Samurai figs. Even the armor and weapons are made of metal pieces. EEEK!!!

The flight pack Robocop set will have the same paint with the previous Robocops( NOT 100% sure)

The accessories will be the basic Robocop with fist, gun arm and gun holding hand.(2 pairs) and the flightpack.

It does however lack the fist with needle hand which came with the first Robocop figure.

Again, I'm just recalling the info from my memory and I might be wrong. Go check teh Hottoys website, they have a list of the accessories of all 3 versions of Robocop.

My girlfriend bought me the Alien so i finally have it in hand. He is the first one. Next is a Predator. I am undecided if i want to pre-order Ripley to go with the power loader but what is the power loader without her. I just hate the head sculpt on her.

Awesome news evenflow!

I got a bunch of new stuff on pre-order from Sideshow.

I got the Hot Toys USCM Series 2 (Ripley,Drake and Hudson) along with the Sideshow Exclusive "Brown" Alien coming in soon!Oh and not to mention the Sideshow Exc. Ancient Predator as well. The one with the ridged helmet, not the one with the smooth one...that's the Asian Exc.

I also pre-ordered the ALIENS drone (warrior) and a bunch of the new Medicom Marvel figures like Punisher,Magneto and Venom-Punisher.

I hope Ghost Rider is shipping soon too!

Hello again!

Been a long time since I last checked the thread. I still haven't seen good pics of USMC snap kits (i mean loose / open / the real thing, not sample pics)... anyone know of any good pics online? Also - are the marines and Ripley truly 3 3/4 after all, or are they taller than, say, joes or SW figs?

Thanks again!

Wish I had the $$$ to collect their 1/6 stuff. Man, that's some amazing #$@# they're making.

Alien Warrior

Grid Alien

Sideshow Predator with severed alien head

Power Loader (pre-order)

I have been thinking about ordering Rocky and Drago from them as well. I would like to get the exclusive battle damaged T2 endoskeleton but thats not happening.

I have to say, after looking at some pics of the figures Hot Toys has done, I was immediately hooked and already have a collection. Ones that caught my eye were the Rambo figures, myself being a fan of Stallone and the Rambo films. I already pre-ordered Rocky and Rambo from the 3rd film. Here are some pics of my collection so far.

Nice pics PMG!!! I saw the Hot Toys Rambo III figure and he looks awesome!I wonder if they'll do Rambo from "John Rambo" as well!

Just to update, I got Drake,Ripley and Hudson and got them all up a while back so my Colonial Marines set is complete!

Hot Toys is releasing a "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" Jack Sparrow and Sao Feng!!!I got Jack Sparrow on pre-order and I am tempted to get a Sao Feng but I am holding out to see if they're going to make Davy Jones and/or Barbossa...Jones would be an AWESOME figure to have and I am sure Hot Toys would do him right!!!
