Anyone have any idea if the SM3 will be getting its own line of figures or if they will just take the xmen route on this one ?.. If they get there own maybe we can get a decent JJJ this time round @loll@

Well it seems we can and probably will get some actual character other then just Spiderman this time around. I don't think well see entire waves built of Spiderman or basically Spiderman alone. We've got Spidey, Black Spidey, Green Goblin 2/Hobgoblin, Sandman, Venom, J Jonah Jameson, Eddie Brock, Gwen Stacy, the rumored 4th villain and so forth. Well at least get 4 villains and a black spiderman, so we won't be filled with nothing but regular red and blue spideys.

Spidey3 has more planning and time involved, so they should have ample time to make a line specifically for the movie. X3 was rushed and therefore had no movie figures.

I, for one, am glad this was how it worked out for X3. As a latecomer to ML, the X-men line is affording me the opportunity (or will, at least) to pick-up on some great ML repaints such as Phoenix (one can hope), Colossus, Storm, Iceman, and Archangel from XMC. Not to mention some new great-looking stuff a la X-treme Rogue, Magneto, Nightcrawler, and House of M Wolvie.

 

I will say this, my 4.5 yr. old son has the super-poseable Spidey from the S2 movie, and it's one of my faves. I wouldn't mind seeing an MJ with some decent articulation... @hmmm@

Yeah I hope they make some civilian figs like ToyBiz did for the first Spidey movie. Although S2 saved me a lot of money 'cause there was only really two figures to buy.

Chances are we will get actual Spider-Man movie figures. But there is already a Spider-Man Classics line, so if they don't, it won't be like doing the X3 figures as much as not doing anything special for the movie at all.
