Darkon and Heavy-Duty

Heavy Duty- Based on version 1, but a younger look. I also changed the camo on the pants to something a bit more real. The hat is a Chicago white sox hat. I post more (and better) pics later. The flash wasn't working on my camera and there wasn't any natural light left so there is a yellow hue to the pics.

Next is Darklon. I never really got into this character, but I always want more guys to add to my IG force. The basic design of this custom has been done by others, but I like how mine turned out so far. I didn't put grenades on the lower leg because I think that's dumb. Putting weight like that below your knee would really limit mobility. I also decided to give him the gun that DTC Mutt came with because it is somewhat realistic looking, but still outlandish....not near as crazy as that thing that version 1 came with though.

No, not a custom gun for Heavy-Duty. Its the bbi mark 19 grenade launcher that comes in one of their weapon packs. I used the ammo can as a back pack on a bbi pack frame. The ammo belt is from Power Team Elite. It came with the special forces buggy (which I am currently turning into an A.W.E. Striker Mk. II). The grenades on the belt are out of scale, but I made it a little closer by cutting the back 1/3 or so off of each shell.

Those are REALLY nice!

I love the Darklon, but what I really like about Heavy Duty is that you've done a great version that doesn't instantly make me think he's a Roadblock rip-off (as in, every single Hasbro version)! Well done!

You know what's great about that Heavy Duty?

The White Sox hat! The defending world champs, best record in baseball, second most winning team of the nineties, Chicago White Sox.

(Lamont Morris is from Chi... oddly, both Lemont and Morris are towns in Illinois.)

Thanks for all the positive comments. I also like to hear about what you find wrong with the customs so that I can make them better.

Sorry Draven, had to give him the Sox hat, he's from Chicago and not since 1992 has it been socially acceptable to wear a neon green hat. lol. I would have given him a cubs hat, but I thought it would look too much like Cobra.

No, he would've looked like a LOSER> @loll@ And he'd probably injure himself lifting his weapon and have to sit out the rest of the conflict.

Heavy Duty is def. a Sox fan. I could see Chuckles as a Cubs fan, with that floppy blonde hair and flowery shirt, with barefoot QuickKick sitting at High Tops crying in their goose island and saying "We'll get 'em next year!" HD is a Sox Fan. He even looks a little bit like our now defamed and rejected former slugger Frank Thomas.

Go Sox!
