The main thing about this new age is that to use magic now you need to sacrifice something. I guess they're taking the equivalent trade kind of approach.

 

When I said issue 4 was OYL, I was wrong. I went back and that issue says it's before the first issue of Shadowpact, but it's just a one-issue story about Blue Devil. Hopefully that means issue 5 will then be concurrent with the other comics outside of 52.

52 - Week 19

 

 

 

Basing this off memory.....I read it last night but I don't have to comic in front of me and I'm writing via remote.

 

 

 

Booster Gold: Skeets convinces Booster's ancestor to try on the costume and 'become' the new Booster Gold to get access into Rip Hunter's laboratory. After that's done, Skeets sends Bosster into 1,000,000 A.D.

 

 

 

Lost Heroes: Animal Man, Adam Strange, and Starfire get to Lobo's place of residence and learn that Lobo's been shaking up with a bunch of refuges. There's other stuff going on but, that's the gist of it.

 

 

 

Origin: Animal Man's origin. Good stuff but, Grant Morrisson's run was top notch.

 

 

 

BTW, did anyone else (when reading the issue) think Grant's hand was all in this issue? Talking dolphin's, alien talk, just read like a Morrisson book.

52 - Week 20

 

Supernova: Seems like Supernova is 'fighting crime' in Gotham while Batman is away. Um...nope, that would be Two Face (read James Robinson's arc for the details.) Supernova is scrounging through the batcave some how. If it's Superboy, he's probably looking at some of Tim's old stuff from past crimes. If it's Jason Todd, that just wouldn't make sense.

 

Steel: Now fully armored. He saves a bunch of people from an apartment complex fire. Kala tells John Irons how Lex is manipulating the gene that triggers super powers in everyone. "We've got trouble," is all Dr. Irons has to say.

 

Lost Heroes: Pretty boring, really. Lobo's wondering why his subordinates aren't wanting to follow him, dolphin tells him that they're worried about Ekron (pronounced like Enron) and a battle ensues. Animal finds powers via the alien creatures that he's never had before, Starfire goes ballistic with the Eye of Ekron and Lobo tells them they all have to book. Why? Ekron's coming and he's looking for his eye.

 

Origin: Adam Strange.

I like this look to em but wouldn't mind... Did they explain how he can still yknow... breath and eat and the like?.. Does it cover the inside of his mouth and noes ect how far in does it go hmmm?... I know I am weird for thinking of stuff like this... heres a even weirder one for ya ... can he still go to the bathroom? & get a @-- ? @loll@ @loll@ @loll@

 

I have a feeling steel will be back to his regular set since lex can turn on and off all the others he has infected. Has anyone seen him in any non w52 comics?.. Maybe we should get a list going here of whos all acounted for, w52 & OYL ... @hmmm@

The Titans came by with a 'new' crew to help clean up and to figure out where II stand. Garfield tried to recruit Natasha, John Irons tries to talk to her, nothing else happens.

 

 

 

Ralph Dibny: He gets into the gates of Hell. Let's see where this goes, huh?

The Titans came by with a 'new' crew to help clean up and to figure out where II stand. Garfield tried to recruit Natasha, John Irons tries to talk to her, nothing else happens.

Besides the fact Lex had one of his created heroes killed?

Yeah Osiris looks pretty cool - the whole Captain Marvel jr thing going on.

Now that the roles of who's who have shifted in the Marvel family, Black Adam has decided to put together a Black Adam family. I was pretty pleased.

Not too sure about the evil scientists storyline though, plus I'm still anxious to read about what Lobo, animal man, Adam Strange and Starfire are doing up against that really big green thing with one eye - seemed abit of a cop out to leave us hanging with that story considering the alien was about to attack the planet.

Me here is more interested in the new Batwoman. She'll probably be a dissapointment but we'll see.
