Ambush, Grunt, and Invasor.

First up is Ambush. I finished this one a couple weeks ago. This should look familiar to gunslingercbr especially. I took most of the idea from him. I changed the head though, to be similar to the original card art that shows him in the knit cap. I gave him the Marauder Inc. L-85 because he always looked British to me as a kid, even though I knew he was from California. I also gave him a backpack of mines so that he could put them in the cover areas where he would spring his ambush....a great guerilla warfare tactic.

Next up is Grunt. I almost finished this one some time ago. It is an update of a custom I did a loonnngg time ago. I gave him a fairly normal woodland camo pattern (need to update the helmet paint still). I gave him the shotgun to start with, and an M-16A1 slung over his shoulder in case he needs to engage targets at longer range.

Last up is Invasor. I treat him as a single character rather than an army builder as the original file card suggests. I decided to make this one after the last con figure was revealed. I was hoping for Invasor rather than Cobra Mortal. I've got a Cobra De Aco custom 99% complete also. I made his look somewhat similar to Snake Eyes v2. I did that because invasor v1 looked like SE v1 so I figured Invasor v2 should look like SE v2. I also gave him a bit more modern head with night vision goggles. I'm going to have to blame the attempted dread loks on AVP that was on TV while I was working on him.Invasor.jpg

Thats it for now. Let me have it! Any comments/critisisms appreciated for making these and future customs better.

Sorry about the double post. Please add replies to the other thread and let this one die....or could a moderator delete one of them? Thanks.

another good set of customs...

Ambush, I really like this one, but you need to work on your eyes... yeah, they're a #$## to do, but if you can get rid of the bug eye look, I really think you'd have an awesome customs.. what I usually do is paintt the whites first, then paint the flesh and cover up any white that bled over ;)

Grunt, though I'm not feelig Grunt from the custom, doesn't mean it's not a good custom... it looks awesome, the picture, stance of the figure and the wooden gun stock gives me a WW2 feel.. all in al I like the look, and love the ad ons :)

Invasor, though I'm not too familiar with the character, I'd hate to see that guy creaping up on me in the middle of the night... I love that torso.. that' sone that I wish Hasbro would re-use... it'd make a perfect Metal Gear/Splinter Cell type sneaky suit..

Again.. awesoem job on this lot-0-customs!!!

I'm diggin' these, very nice work. I especially like Ambush and Invasor, both are very cool-lookin' interpretations of the characters. It would be nice to see an updated Ambush from Hasbro, they should base him off your version. Grunt is quite cool too, i like that vintage WW2 look for him. Plus, you really pick cool accessories for your customs, the guns are especially cool.
