Today at my local Walmart I found the "George Lucas" Vintage Wave. I picked up 4 ROTJ Speeder Bike Troops, 2 Jumpsuit lukes, 2 greedos, 2 Han Solos, 2 Sandpeople. I gotta tell ya, these guys are the BOMB. Thats pretty much all I can say. I am going to post pics later.

They are from the Galactic Hunt Series.

The full set was $52, $9.96 apiece before taxes at wal mart. I am going to bet in a few weeks that there will be complaints that the sitckers inside will be missing, since it isn't that hard to get those stickers out. Though getting the order form out of the luke is much more challenging.

cutting out the bar codes wouldn't work for the promotion, there's a sticker inside the package you have to get along with the card that comes with pilot luke to apply all 5 to and send it off

ooo sneaky!!

$5 bucks shipping is a pretty hardcore ripoff, especially since the figures are double the price of normal figures. I finally found the Scouts today at my local WM, and the best part of working there is..... 10% off :) I gotta say, these figures are awesome, but I still think the Stormies are the ones to beat. Maybe someday I'll get Luke, but I dunno.

Hell, the online store that I ordered a case from still hasn't gotten them in. I received an email from them a few days ago telling me that my order will be filled on their second shipment of them...expected sometime in late June/early July.

And my Walmart has too many collectors working overnights, and rarely does anything considered "HTF" or "exclusive" ever see a peg. The only figures my Walmart ever has (and that's not saying much) is General Reikeen, Poggle the Lesser and the Hoth Vader (which is just the 500th Vader rehashed). I was REALLY lucky to stumble upon two AT-AT Drivers that someone had hidden back behind some Sigma 6 Commando figures. I can only assume that the person who had horded them away like that was pretty tweaked upon returning to buy them. Sometimes the "collector's gold rush" just makes me want to throw up my hands and forget collecting altogether. It's not a challenge, its a lesson in frustration. Survival of the opportunist, blah, blah, blah. I'm just a bit irritated that I'll have to wait until midsummer before I can get my set of VTSC figures. *sigh*

As for the Uncle George figure...

From every single pic I've seen of it, its not a VOTC-style Stormtrooper body with a new sculpted head on it, which would make perfect sense considering that its the VOTC/VTSC line that you are collecting to get it. Instead, its the old POTF2-style stormtrooper body. Not worth the plastic its made from, in my opinion. Truth be told, its probably just the old Jorge Secul head rehashed.

I know the feeling Wheeljack.I got my 3 VOTC figures at Target.I didn't get the full set.Ok,I know that Walmart has them for 10 bucks but Walmart around in my area is dry, again.Like i said, there is a large amount of fear with Walmart and the Star Wars figures. @hmmm@

Finally. Finally my Walmart got in the VOTC figures.

I could only afford two so I picked up Luke/X wing pilot and the Biker Scout

My birthday is at the end of the week and I will be getting money so I will pick up the rest then

I looked at the lastest Star Wars insider magazine and read that the UGH figures were suppose to be going out on May 1st as well as the VOTC figures. Now,I know some stores have put out those display boxes of the UGH figures and other have not. Most of our Walmarts have dry for the last few weeks.I am hoping that cases of figures are in the stock room. The managers at Walmart probably got a message saying not to put the figures out until May 1st.It just a theory.

Then why is our Walmart taking forever to get any new figures in?I have only seen maybe 2 cases of the UGH figures at one Walmart then nothing.Like I said, there seems to be a stigma in my area that if there is no movie the figures won't sell.Of course our stores have no figures.I wish I had a camrea phone to show you how bad it is.pegs but only the usual peg warmers.
