Favourite '06 Con Exclusive So Far?

Personally, I'm still loving that Night Viper squad leader guy from the two-pack. It's by far my favourite still, and I'm sure to pick up one at least.

The ones we've seen so far from the 12-pack have been okay, so far. I guess I like the Skull Trooper (or whatever he's called) best out of those, but overall the Night Viper takes it.

I'm definitely interested in seeing how that Cobra Mortal turns out (although I think the original looks pretty crappy, so I'm not hoping for much), and whatever Joes they end up doing, especially Slaughter!

OPeration MOTH with Frag and Night viper is part of the Con exclusives?

I thought that was just a separate set MC was selling as part of a series.

Well we haven't seen Mortal yet, but I like Major Bludd the best so far. He looks really cool and that mold looks like something he would wear. A good ARAH represenatation of him.

Second I love the Coil Troops. They have a good color and its a great mold.

I'm not too happy with Skull Squad, that mold is a little tubby... they may look a little too fat or with extra padding around the torso.

Skull Troopers by far. I just love em. They are what I wanted done to some TRU Infantry Troopers, a specialty squad. MC has done me a favor with these guys. I have a major critique about Bludd, why couldn't they have gone the retro route with him? He just looks too high-tech for a rogue para-military commander. I could tolerate it with Metal Head cuz he's supposed to be a ballistics specialist and the design makes sense for him.

Really? I thought it was part of the convention stuff. Either way, if it's part of a series, I want to see more of it...

They are releasing it to coincide with the convention, though, right?

I guess I should have said "Mastercollector Exclusives", to be more accurate.

I originally thought it was the two-set for the exclusive due to the timing of the news release. After reading it a bit later, though, I noticed that it stated it was part of something new they are trying, special quarterly releases. It's a nice thought, as long as the prices aren't too bad.

Interesting... I wonder what else they have planned, 'cause I'm really liking that particular set.

They are supposed to have another update with the new GIJCC newsletter for the month of May. Hopefully we might see the next set at the con. I am wondering what vehicle they have that they are working on.....

Operation MOTH does sound really cool. I am excited about it.

Its suppose to be a four part themed series.... so the first is a jungle theme and we don't know much about the others but we speculated it's arctic, desert, and underwater or something.

If you look at the boxart for MOTH there are 4 switches with the letters P J A and D and the one for J is flipped up. SO we assumed the J is for Jungle and the rest might be for Polar , Desert, and A for Aquatic or Arctic again. I don't know if they will be sold at the con, probably this first one will but the rest are supoose to be sold by there online store.

Interesting take, I did not read that much into it.

I remember looking on the mastercollector site hoping that they would have some pre-release price to help us fit this into our budgets. I still have no clue how much this will cost, but I imagine it will be comparable to the two figure con sets, so I guess in the neighborhood of $50. However, the two figure con sets were simply sold in a clear bag, whereas these are boxed up with some nice art, so they may pump it up a couple extra bucks.

I would think so (at least the first set) since it does ship in May according to the boards.

They took pre orders last month for the sets and they are scheduled to ship in May.

I like the parts they used for Overlord. I like the Skull Troopers too. I think my least favorite is the coil trooper but i still like it.
