Looks good X, might I suggest one thing when painting TATs, try not to use a black color, what I tend to do is take a flesh color, and slowly ad browns, and maybe even some red(dependig on the original flesh tone of the character) and then finally add a tiny amount of black till you have a dark almost black color. I find that they look far more ralistic than just painting a straight black tatttoo on them.

I would leave yours how it is though, cuase half the time I go to redo something, I F it up, maybe go over it with a light flesh wash to help fade in the tat a little so it's not so bold.

Hope that helps, I like the look and keep it up.

Nice work X. Parts certainly fit the bill. I think you could possibly redo the tat,a bit shaky to me.Maybe have you thought about printing it out on transfere paper & then attach to the chest???

Figure wise & acc`s though very nice.

thanks guys for the feedback im glad you like him.firefly69 i went with black for 2 reasons 1 i dont have a real light blue. 2 i copyed this from a RAH custom and it had a black tat. and it matched the color sceam i went with. i hope that helps with your ?.

Great work, but as a perfectionist I would get another chest piece and try again with the tattoo. Personally, I wouldn't even try to paint it - your best bet would be to get a custom decal done. Shouldn't be too hard... You could probably get the graphic yourself, and then get a print shop to print it out for you. Probably cost you ten bucks but it'd be well worth it.

thanks Dprime im glad you like him. thanks for the tip ill see what i can do.

Yeah, I'm surprised that decals haven't seemed to have caught on for Joe customizers... For stuff like Cobra logos and other badges, they'd look a lot better than stickers or painted on details, no matter how good of a painter someone is.

I got the idea from LEGO customizers... here's a link to what I mean.

Just looks more professional and cleaner than what anyone could do with a paintbrush. If someone sold stuff like this for Joes I could see it being very popular, but I don't think it'd take much work for anyone to do 'em by themselves, either.
