My oh my. I finally got my new camera. Of course, this paint job took me the better of 3 & 1/2 weeks, so I had the time to wait.

When I got C.D. Red Alert, two things came to mind: he had tons of detail I couldn't really see, and he looked like someone....someone familiar...and upgraded Perceptor! The bio fits as well; scientist reluctantly upgraded into a war-machine...so I got to work.

This piece represents everything I've learned about painting to this day. I've incorporated techniques here for the first time I've learned from the masters like Jin Saotome and his great guides, such as multiple washes, 3 different dry brushes, and sanding of joints to prevent wear. I gave him a silver dry brush to make him look metallic, in person he looks like worn metal, and nearly like die cast in some parts. I gave him premium mirror-back repro labels faction stickers, and finally trimmed some Zoids detail stickers to add to the look. It was always a goal of mine to be able to repaint figures in my choice of colors, but have them be as durable and appear as though they came out of the box that way, and I think I've finally gotten to that level. So, without anymore self promotion, I give you Cybertron Defense Perceptor.....
