rivets = easy with some prep

take a styrene rod of the smae diameter that you want the rivets to be. drill the tip out with a micro bit carefully making sure to keep it centered. then press the tip into your media (wetting the tool down with water helps for smooth release), after you do this, then take the tip of a round toothpick and put a dot in the center of the raised area....*BAM* you have rivets.

awesome custom so far Aly. Very good use of the Mutt torso. Can't wait to see the finished product. Diggin the details on the leg straps. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for all the hep-ness everyone. I do this because I love doing it, and to have everyone on board with my "vision" just make sit htat much better.

Face- I just wanted to point out again, what a great design your Snake Eyes and Night Vipers were. W/O your grea ideas, mine would've never hapenned and I won't forget that. Also, when we gonna' see some new work my man? It's been a while...

ALY.. a mechanical pencil tip would work just as well for the tip, and probably even a lot easier, lol..

I must say Aly, You took my concept with the Snake Eyes and The Night Viper to another level. I'm always looking forward to the end product of your designs. At the moment I'm laying low for a bit with the customs. My son was just born on Jan. and I work at night, but that doesn't mean I haven't been brainstorming.

Aly, awesome work as usual. Can't wait to see them when they are finished. Also, PM me the pics of each and I'll add them to the rest of your custom archive on my site. Also if you get a chance, go through and make sure I'm not missing any. There are 7 pages worth so far.

Really great stuff Al! I`m glad to see new stuff from you since it`s been awhile. Question, did you have to mod the waist at all or does it kinda sit funny with the torso. I put that configuration together and the pouches don`t allow it to sit right. I could fill it in to fix it I just havn`t had time yet. Either way this is turning out to be my favorite Shockwave custom yet! Any chance you will be casting that head?

WOW!That is some superb work,my hats off to you yet again. I know it's been said many times over, but aside from being a great customizer I cannot get over how CLEAN your paint jobs come off as.They look like they've rolled right out of the factory without any mistakes or smudges. Plus, your work is what I'd like to see Hasbro do!

I'm a big fan of Shockwave and I can't wait to see this figure completed!

Thanks again guys, for your encouragement and comments.

JR- I intend to spend soem time talking with the Hasbro design guys about this stuff, and I hope to convey some community feelings on the matter to them a little more clearly than they have been getting thru. If they don't listen, then the butt-shoving commences, JoeRhyno stylie.

CCer- Thanks again. I try real hard to make everything look crisp, but I am not always successful. I wish I could say that there is a technique that I could teach people, but it's really just practice.

CC- Yeah, I've been tied up doing heads to sell, and filling orders from Ebay for the last three months or so. I wish I could do them faster, but it's been slow going. It feels good to get some work done for myself though, and I needed a short break.

Airborne- I'll check the link later, and see what needs to be added. I am going to be retaking photos for the customs I still own, and update those pics. I'll LYK when I do.

2Face- I understand your predicament. I have 3 of my own, and I know how time consuming it is to care for them in the first 3 or 4 years. Just try to get some rest, and don't forget to spend some time on your significant other and yourself amidst all the hub-bub.

I know you have been more than busy with all the Convention stuff and what not so when you finally get caught up take a well needed break. Then hit me up for one of those Shockwave and Grand Slam heads! But relax some first. #US1#
