Does anyone work for or know someone that works for Hasbro?

I've been a TF fan since they first came out in 1984... and now that I'm "older", I was wondering what Hasbro looks for when they hire someone. I think it would be really cool to just work for them -- and to be able to contribute to the Transformers line would be the ultimate.

Well, I can go back to college and get a business degree and cross my fingers that I am what they are looking for... or, I can get the inside scoop from someone that already works there.

A business degree might not be the ticket.

Engineering, product design, electronics.......anything that might end up in a toy-design career.

You can always contact them directly and ask outright what they are looking for.

The thing to keep in mind is that if you are trying to get into the industry to JUST work on Transformers, then you are getting in for the wrong reason.

You'll very likely be working on other toy-lines, probably even stuff that doesn't interest you.

By the time you complete your education and pay your dues in the career, the toy brand may no longer even exist.

Apporach this as a career making toys of all kinds, rather than just one kind.

I only mentioned business because of the first few jobs required business or engineering degrees. I realize that working on one toy line, in particular, has a slime to none chance of happening. I would want to work there for the same reasons I work in public education -- I would do it for the kids. In this case, it would help make children happy (compared to education, where you want them to learn and be prepared for life).

 

I think I will call them though. (I've talked to several well education people that I know and none have suggested making a simple phone call to ask them what they are looking for...) Good suggestion.

Yeah I know a guy who worked for hasbro. He was a SCALPER!!!

I think your best shot would be as a store Rep. You would travel around and make sure displays are set up, etc.

Try Target, Walmart, or TRU/KB in your area

Check around online. Also, if you really want to work for Hasbro in-house, be prepared to live in Rhode Island.
