Well, everyone else was doing it...

I know I haven't posted alot lately, but I've been busy working a part time job while it was available. I haven't really had much time to do any customs either, because my free time has gone ot finishing projects for others, and making heads for those who bought them on Ebay.

I did manage however, to get these done about a month ago, and have just gotten photos tonight. Like most of you, I liked the latest DTC offerings, but felt they could be just little more, so I figured I'd go ahead and mod them up to my liking.

First is Med Alert, who was (IMHO) the most lacking interms of proprtions and such. I added a half inch to his torso, filled out the bottom and sculpted some more details, cut off the hands and thinned the wrists down, and added hands from good old Recondo. I also added a Mjr. Barrage waist to better hold the belt in place and added styrene straps to that to make it look like the original part. I also cut off that stupid nose pick/mic and drilled the helmet and added a new one. On a side note, I never noticed until I started working on him, but that molds arms are two different lengths (the left being over an 1/8th shorter).

Next is Barrel Roll who only needed some BBI goggles in "shooter's yellow" to make the helmet look better, and not so awkward.

Next up is Footloose, who received and extended and filled torso to make his body more proportional. I still need to sand it a bit to make the transition line smoother.

Grand Slam is one you've all pretty much seen before. He's not really finished for good, but just for now. I'll be making him a new jetpack and rifle later on when I have more time. And yes, I'll be casting the head.

Last up is Lowlight, who needed a little bit of work, but I think he looks just fine now. I lengthened the neck to make it look right with that bulky vest on, added the proper padding to the vest, changed to BBI hands, and sculpted padding on the forearms. That was more of a necessity that a stylistic thing though, since the left forearm had a split in it and needed to be reinforced.

I would say that I hope you enjoy them, but this time it was all about making me happy. ;)
