Will there ever be a new episode of S6 again

Seems like they replay the same 6 episode over and over again. If people are still watching it as much as they been re-running these things then it must be good.

I read on tv.com that the newest episode "Speed" I think was its name is coming in March.

I don't know what's going on with the show.....but I hope this extra time that they're taking means that they are trying to improve the show. I mean it started out ok, but it really didnt take anytime to go down hill...at least in my eyes.

I've only punished myself with 2 of the 6, so there's still FOUR episodes I haven't seen, and could care less if I never do.

 

That's the part of G.I.Joe, I'm more than glad to LEAVE to the kids (of which I'm pretty certain it's for) and critiquing it too seriously, would be kind of silly of me, and I'd feel as such.

 

Sorta like critiquing Barney as being BETTER if he was BLUE instead of PURPLE! @lol@

It could be that they haven't made many episodes, which is at least how it looks to me. Usually a cartoon season is ready, nearly in it's entirety, before it even airs, because it takes so long to make them and they usually plan ahead. In this case, it looks like they didn't plan ahead, and are behind on making S6 cartoons.

Well, from a insider's POV, when a show like this keeps getting pre-empted, and thrown all around the schedule, it means it hasn't found a audience, nor is it expected to.

This is why cartoons like this typically get a half season order ( 13 episodes) and with the broadcasting of fresh eps at 6, its looking like they MIGHT have rescinded the order from 26 to 13.

I'm not on this production, so I do not know the why's and wherefore's. They might well do a full season order of 26 and just broadcast them over the year.

 

But given how this thing isn't being given a set running block of weeks, and how its only showing now and then--don;t expect a second season.

 

 

 

 

And if it only get's one season, expect another year of toys..........maybe.......and that'll be it.

 

 

But there's still something else possibly on the horizon.

If the premiere broadcast date is in Sept, then the first episode needs to be in the can around July and subequent episodes coming about one or two weeks after that.

The MODERN productions schedule allows for a lull of new episodes and the running of repeats around Dec/Jan because those times are usually socked up with the holidays etc/ Keeping the main block of episodes for the rating sweeps of November ( I THINK in February) and May, and they have a bit more time to focus on the shows themselves.

This allows for holidays, vacation times, production problems and other inevitable set-backs.

Its a demanding effort to make these shows and a huge amount of work goes into them--they need time to do them properly. Gonzo is clearly one of those studios that strongly dislikes putting out crap work.

 

In the old days, the pre-production/production schedules would spin up right in the first couple of weeks of January. Now they tend to start in late March.

With the dedicated channels, and dedicated broadcast focus on regular cable channels now, shows can start at almost anytime. The rule of thumb of late is that the date the episode is first broadcast is 6 months ( approx. )after the episode was put into production.

Episode 1: Cobra Strike

General Hawk suggested the idea of an Ice Climbing Duke figure, I think that would be cool. I could see some Alpine and Hit n Run customs comming from it if they put one out. I wonder when well see the new Shred.. I mean Storm Shadow in the toon.

i'm not really worried about the repeats right now, every cartoon on right now on fox is a repeat, almost all of the shows are doing repeats with new shows like once a month, so i think it's a fox broadcast thing more than anything
