Cool X-men Anime Intro!

That was pretty cool, except for the awful music. Japanese intros have terrible music. Is this an actual series from Japan or is it the orignal American show with a japanese intro?

It was the Japanese intro for the FOX early '90s series, when it was aired in Japan. It replaced the US intro.

It was shown in the US during the credits of the US show, ONLY in the later (Last?) seasons - I remember seeing it with the US intro music playing (instead of the god awful Cry the Moon crappy Japanese music) during the credits one Saturday morning, amazed at the animation. It was the Jim Lee era costumes/style merged with really fluid, anime designs that mirrored the, at the time current, Capcom Marvel fighting games which I loved. I tried to catch the ending again, to tape it.......and then the series left the Saturday morning line-up......after awhile I had begun to think it had been a figment of my imagination, since none of my friend ever saw it or knew what I was talking about. Thank goodness for the internets!

but yeah, it was shown in the US with the 90s music playing, minus a few scenes, since it was trimmed down to fit with the length of the US music/credits

After sitting down and watching it again, I learned a few things:

-Professor Xavier is a pimp.

-A feral Beast has the mutant ability to split the ground open, thus ripping Brood warriors to shreds simply by pounding on the ground.

-Cable likes guns. Large guns. Large guns that never run out of ammo. And the Rob Liefield design of him still looks ridiculous.

-Magneto commands the Brood whenever he feels like. All that needs to do is open up the earth, and whammo, instant-Brood.

Surprise that the japanese use their own music since I recall seeing the commiercal for snes game, which uses clips from the intro and actually uses a revamp intro theme from the Us version;like how xmen COTA uses a revamp theme of the us intro music.

The game commerical is different, but has a remix version(imo better than the first american ver of the theme) of the american opening.

As for animation, the art is better than the american series(I recall seeing this used as the ending credits in the states and seen the japanese commerical for the game.

I wish the video was better resolution, because it didn't look all that much different than the regular show animation. But I was never a big fan of the "FoX-Men", so I am probably not remembering just how bad that show was.

the animation is similar, but there are some differences.
