Did Anyone Else Think This

Ok I love hasbro, they are great, great toys but I wonder, did you guys think Hasbro cleaned house in the last year or so. Here is what I noticed-

OTFCC Killed

Dreamwave dead

Atari making games no more

Rhino (lost license apparently)

Thats all of the major stuff that was changed and it happened over a few months, and Universe counts under OTFCC since thats where is began. Now is it me or did Hasbro just have a little more to do wityh the last three then we know. Also will the OTFCC exclusive Hotspot ever see the light of day, I read that Hasbro would release it as a store exclusive since they got to the test shot stage.

Here is what one article said about OTFCC unproduced stuff, as you all remember,

"These images you have seen are part of the planned exclusives for the 2005 year. These sketches where part of a 75 page proposal sent to Hasbro for the renewal of the convention license in 2005.

Brawn and Roadbuster, as you see, where split molded with different heads from the Strongarm mold. Each would have came with a new Energon weapon, much like the weapons featured with the Energon basics on shelves currently, as well as the Energon axe that came with the Strongarm mold originally. Brawn would have came with Energon gauntlets that fit over his fist in robot mode - Brawn is the Wreckers' demolitionist specialist. Roadbuster would have came with an assault rifle based on the G1 design that came with the original toy.

Devcon is remolded from Energon Slugslinger. The remolded parts that you see are the head, based on the G1 cartoon design. However, what you do not see are the wing mounted Energon missles/gun turrets that would have given the toy an almost entirely different look in vehicle mode.

Hot Spot/Defensor is obviously in close to finished form here. The paint masters where with Hasbro as stated at the 2004 Organizers' panel. If the convention license would have been lost, this would have been the 2005 Collector's Club exclusive. This figure would have been made, in some fashion, for the fans.

BW Megatron is obviously remolded from RID Megatron. The head would have been completely new, and there where plans as well for the feet/dragon heads to be remolded to more closely resemble the TM2 Megatron design. What you don't see in these designs however is the planned additional accessory ... Megatron's favorite bathtime buddy ... his rubber duck."

Glenn's lying, cheating and stealing might have had something to do with the fall of OTFCC

Pat Lee's ly... wait I think there's a theme here.

Hasbro has their own software division, smart to let someone else take the initial gamble and then take it from there.

Rhino released everything G1, GI Joe was a bit of fiasco so Hasbro shopped the rights.

What conspiracy is there?

THe OTFCC concepts are likely tied up in Glenn's slow painful bankruptcy. Anything Glenn said at an organizer's panel or anywhere else was a lie. You could tell when he was lying, his lips were moving.

[\End Glenn's a biatch]

The Roadbusters head was exactly the same as G1's version and so was Brawn.

Doesn't Hasbro think they can make money with these?

I know I would of bought them

That's what I'm saying.

And it may not be a matter of Hasbro thinking they can make money or not, it may have to do with the bankruptcy of the old 3H Enterprises that is keeping them from doing anything with at the present time.

One day, perhaps.

who doesnt want a Devcon, next to Elita-One and Alpha Trion he is one of the most wanted Tf's in toy form.

says who?

Master Collector used the Megs mold and the Energon jeep this year, you won't see those molds for a while.

The only interesting one was Defensor, but that mold's just been reissued, again

Put them out of your mind, they were meh

not even Megatron, or DEVCON who doesnt want a Devcon, next to Elita-One and Alpha Trion he is one of the most wanted Tf's in toy form.

Devcon had one appearance in the show. ONE. Skids had more appearances in the cartoon than Devcon. That should speak for itself in multiple volumes. It's a good assumption that most people don't even know of the character.

I don't think that I'd want the OTFCC Devcon....I like Slugslinger, but seriously, that mold is just too floppy, even when the pins are secured tightly. As Scottie said, the only one that truly had my interest was the Defensor mold, but that's only because G1 Defensor holds a special place in my heart. The other ones-meh.

That repaint of Hot Spot looked great. I was looking forward to it... too bad it wasn't made. Speaking of OTFCC, did anyone else get a letter in the mail (this past week) releasing Glen from all his debt? 3H didnt' owe me anything but I still got all the bankruptcy letters in the mail. (Well, they owed me two Sentinal Max. figures -- but Hasbro took care of that for me.)
