Didn't know where to post them, so I decided to post them here, since dioramas are custom made. Here :

yeah take me back to basic training. on all those feild exercises, the cold, the anticipation, the drill sergents. the bad old days

but cool.

I've done stuff like that.

Great fun and Tamiya makes great kits for dioramas too.

Their catalogues are treasure troves of ideas from the likes of modelmaker masters like Francois Verlinden. Nice to see that kind of stuff, Johhny

Nope, no pics.

Haven't really done a kit in a abut 10 years now, maybe longer than that.

I was almost at a competitve level with local IPMS shows, have a couple of small show awards.

My surviving kits are all in storage, and probably the worse for wear. It'd take some work to get them back to displayable condition.

The Warhammer 40K miniatures I painted last--probably the last one I finished was about 4 years ago now--these all when to my oldest step-son.

The big thing for me though in modelmakingwas not only discovering the Tamiya family of kits, but the work of guys like Verlinden, Brick Price, Martin Bower and Shep Paine--who's book How to Build Dioramas is my model-making bible. Learned more about painting figures and model building from that one book alone than anything else in my time in the hobby.

I still have a sizable number of Gundam, Nitto SF-3D, and other sci-fi and military-type kits unbuilt and awaiting the found time to have at them.

Wow, nice to hear all that, so you are a veteran so to speak :P . I recently got the How To Build Dioramas book!, and I love that book, it's going to be my bible.
