Scarlet Witch Will Be Easy To Find

I'm going to try to get her, but no way I'm paying that much for her. I've always thought she looked like crap, even the prototype. I think the sculpter used Alanis for his model, and let's face it, she'd be a terrible casting choice. I'll probably end up repainting a bit of her, and/or replacing the head entirely, so no way do I want to fork over a ton of money to get her.

 

Now that I think about it, I'll probably do something with her hands too. It just seems a crime that she can't do the classic "point and shoot" that she used to with her hexes, or even throw up the horns like she has in later years.

this is why we should all stick to trading our figures even if you end up trading 3 figures for one it is still only going to cost you less than $24.00 for a figure. The odds are that the average variant or hard to find figure can be swapped 1:1 or 2:1 most of the time though. why don't more people come on sites like this and do that more often?

I think that's going to happen for a while over here too.... people/comic shop owners... like to buy all the exclusive stuff.... hard to find items, so they can ebay it or trade it for more stuff.....

 

I try to avoid retailers close to comic shops... but for some reason, they beat me to it.....

 

One Walmart even told me that the scalpers are close friends with the night crew.... so i'm like #WTF# ..... it's not even worth going to that walmart anymore....

Those scalpers are so thorough. The either know night stock workers or that is their job. Scalpers are so funny. I remeber when I first went to look for series 10 at TRU. I got there 15 minutes before they opened and there were 3 middle aged guys waiting at the door. When the doors opened they ran back to the toys. One grabbed up hockey figures, another was snagging matchbox cars, and the last was looking for ML. TRU didn't have any that day and I was actually happy because he ran around like an ass and didn't get anything!!

haha....I read the new wizard mag that claims she's going for $115 and that she was recalled. What a joke. I just found her at target and bought her. She'll either be trade bait or I'll return it.

I used to stock overnight at Target and would also have to pull down displays and redo them. When the star wars toys ran their course, we had to pull down the cardboard displays and destroy them. At 8:00 sharp there was a group of SW collectors that came in and bugged us for the SW displays, when we told them we threw them away they literally went through our trash carts looking for the. We usually throw razor blades in there when they get dull from opening boxes so we cant just let them rummage through the trash. When the collector had no luck finding the displays he proceeded to buy all of the fantastic 4 invisible girls. There was six of them and I was planning on getting one once my shift ended.

 

 

Its pretty sleazy to buy up all of one figure just because its rumored to be rare. I could forgive the guy if he was armybuilding, but this was for a unique character.

I know Clam goes through boxes that are on the Wal-mart floor, and while I know he is a cool guy, I would be pissed if a customer did that while I was stocking the pegs. I would tell him to f*** off. (not clam, of course)

no, I don't do that. In fact, I have only opened 2 cases off of the pallets myself, and that was a long time ago.

 

I always ask one of the ladies to get the case for me wherever I go. However, when they take it off the pallet and put it on the floor where it is going to be stocked, they have told me it is okay for me to open it.

 

They (employees at Walmart and TRU) have told me that they don't like it when a customer grabs stuff off the pallet, so I don't do that.

 

Trust me, I know the kind of guy who grabs right off the pallet, makes a mess, and leaves.... I hate that, it ruins it for the collectors with good manners.

The warehouse for TRUs in our district in Kansas City (I'm an employee), is loaded with series 11. Our store just got 2 cases (both with Witches of course), and I know at least one of the other stores got a couple. The warehouse had over 100 cases (I think 130 but I could be wrong), so it shouldn't take too long for restocks.

I saw 3 today (bought 1)in Missouri. They probably had 4-5 cases on pegs, within 10 minutes more than half were gone! I've never seen so many non-scalper(parents) buying ML; it was insane. I'm glad I arrived when I did; picked-up Scarlet Witch, Taskmaster, Wonderman, and Hulkbuster IM(no variants though). I also was lucky enough to score Blue Angel and Cyclops variants(noone paid any attention to series 10...strange)and 3 mystery Fig. Factorys; all-n-all a MARVELOUS day! I just gotta say just how crappy SW is; most definitely the WORST ML female EVER(hate the body. Hell, I'd take an Electra ANY day over this piece!). The worst part of all, is the fact that the card back shows the prototypes photos so you feel even more slighted by the finished product. I'd have to say that my favorite is Taskmaster(needs minor tweaking, but definitely the star of the series). I wouldn't worry too much about finding SW, eventually after all the hype, I predict that she'll be warming the pegs along-side Logan after all the scalpers and collectors are burned by this over-rated travesty.
