Ml 13 Grunts

this site http://www.wolviestoys.com/legends/ has an early mock up for ml 13, 'bring on the bad guys' wave, although it says the crimson dynamo has been droped and there has been no further word on the grunts I thoght they were a great idea and should be made, even included in future waves so that we can build a small army of skrull and hydra agents.

Well if he brings them back as a boxed set or something, with the articulation we have come to love and expect, then I guess it's a good thing he didn't bring them out!!! But what the pack in will be is my question!!

Actually, Jesse said that the original idea was to make the grunts 6" with 11 POA, putting them perfectly in sclae with Marvel Legends, even if lacking a bit in articulation next to thier ML counterparts. Oil costs made them scale back to 5" with 3 POA, and even then they didn't cost out. Jesse fully admits that those looked like crap and that even he wouldn't have wanted them.

 

The last we heard about them was Jesse pledging to the fans that the "grunts," at their original scale and POA count, would find their way to shelves, somehow, someday. He said he had many ideas on how to make this happen, and was running them past his superiors.

 

The HC Bruce Banner, on the other hand, was based on the 5" scale Deacon Frost figure from the Blade movie line, which is way it looks so poor and out of scale with ML. It was never meant to go along with it. If the grunts were made at the 5" scale, I'd fully agree with you, but the way they were originally planned sounds like everything the fans would have wanted.

Over at Fwoosh someone is claiming that ML13 will definitely have Onslaught as a BAF now that the grunts are out.. I'm thrilled, when I was trying to think of future BAF's this is the one I wanted the most.

I just wish some specialist online retailer like Forbidden Planet or someone similar would comission a series of bad guy box sets such as

 

Super Skrull + 4 Skrulls

MODOK + 4 AIM grunts

Madame Hydra + 4 Hydra agents

 

etc etc

a onslaught baf would be mighty fine, it would make me get another case in ( not that I wouldn't anyways) & open all my extras rather than just sell them

Yeah I would love to see an Onslaught BAF, I really hope it happens one day.
