Eddie Guerrero Passes Away

I'm shocked and saddened. Sounds like cardiomyopathy, since Eddie was a noted recovering alcoholic and drug abuser. I'm told a body can be clean for years and years and heart problems can still come up unexpectedly. My condolences extended to his family, workmates and fans.

I still can't get over this. Every few hours it just pops into my head and I just think "holy **** Eddie Guererro is dead." It's just simply unreal. I'm still in shock over it. I'm always surprised to hear when a wrestler passes away. Owen Hart was shocking and horrible. But this is worse for me since Eddie was one of the only reasons i bothered watching wrestling.

I feel bad for his freinds and family, and all of his fans too. He was my favorite wrestler and probably always will be. Thank god he was appriciated in his time and got to the heights he deserved to get to unlike Owen.

Life is unfair... Eddie beat the worst personal battles. Had his life right on track. clean and sober, with a nice family and a good career. Was even headed to championship agian...

This shouldn't have happened, but it did and all we can do is miss him as a preformer.

I read this at like 3pm today and it still hasn't worn off. I mean, EDDIE GUERRERO! Latino Heat! Just.....gone. Like that. I thought I'd get to see him wrestle in person a few more times....and he really made the whole house show last time he was here, in this awesome tag match with Rey. He was doing the funny "re-tieing the tag-rope to the ring-rope bit" and sliding all the way down, but he was still holding the tag rope, the ref was going crazy......solid stuff.

Anyone else got any in-person Eddie stories to remember?

I still can't get over it - I saw the press conference and I agree - Chavo is one hell of a professional for keeping his composure.

Part of me still hopes that this is a joke and that Eddie is really still alive.

I still done believe it! i went onto wwe.com.. then it says he passed away... i dont believe it... i hope its not true... i hope its WWE trying to trick us fans... My 2 favourite Eddie Guerrero moments happened on the same night... him beating Angle for the championship then Eddie coming out to celebrate with Chris.... R.I.P Eddie..

This is totally unbelieveable! This is unlike any other death in WWE history besides the Owen Hart one. This is right up there with that! Anyone know what in the heck happened!! I hope this wasn't ring related. I'm thinking it might be drugs but we wont know. Prayers go out to his family and all of the WWE locker room who must be all in shock right now!

Eddie,

You brought your A Game every night, you cared about this business, you gave all that you had, you made so many sacrifices and you loved your family and they loved you back. You talked the talk and walked the walk. You were a champion everytime you stepped into the ring. You made each card you were on better and made everyone you faced in the ring a better wrestler. No one will ever replace what you brought to this business, no one will come close to the engery and realness you brought.

You were a hero to all who knew you, a friend to all that needed you and a brother in the ring to every performer, whether he was new or had been around.

Eddie you were special in this business, you will be missed, remembered for what you were. A family man, a professional that set the bar and a friend that never let a man down.

May you rest in peace and may God's light shine upon you now and forever.

Goodbye Eddie

signed, a Fan forever.....

Very sad news, indeed. I couldn't believe it when I got a call about it yesterday morning. It was the first thing I heard upon waking up.

The wrestling world has definatly lost of the greats. I'll greatly miss seeing Eddie.

My prayers go out to his family.

I don't think a wrestlers death has gotten to me as much as Eddies has.

It was bad when Rick Rude, Owen and Elizabeth died but not like this.

i agree
