Here are a bunch of figs. Some of you may have seen my stuff at Fwoosh or at Rebelscum, FFURG and Jedi Defender.

Vixen is cast completely in plastic. I did a re-tool of a wonderwoman head in wax. I cast the torso and legs of WW also. The Arms are Hawkgirls and the left hand is cast from Catwoman from the Batman & Robin animated line.

I chose to cast the parts to save on fodder since i want to do dozens of figures so this is the most economical way.

She has all 5 point of articulation like the JLU women have.

vixen-fin1.jpg

Captain Marvel. I tried to make his flap and cape look like clothes with wrinkles...didnt come out as i had hoped, but it will do.

Here's Lois.

lois1.jpg

She was made by putting together the legs of WW(for the heels) and the torso of Hawkgirl.(less busty) I then used sculpy to make the vest, and used strips of styreene to make the skirt. I also used sculpy to add sleeves to Hawkgirl's arms.

The head is a re-tooled wonder woman sculpt.

I then made a molds of the pieces. Then cast her in plastic.

As mentioned, this process allows me to re-use the same few parts for countless customs.

Here is the pic before painting.

"Birdnose" as grundy calls her.

I've wanted to do this one for a while, Not to mention she's headlinging alot of my favorite JLU episodes.

I chose do do the white outfit version since i havent see that one done yet.

birdnose.jpg

Here is the sculpt and the plastic cast. I just sculpted the head onto hawlkgirls hair piece. I was intedning on making this another re-tool of wonderwoman, but a few errors caused me to have to sculpt everything. The body is not cast ths time, I just used the hawkgirl body that i had been making molds from.

birdnose-wip.jpg

Stargirl... I will do S.T.R.I.P.E sometime soon.

The torso, legs and arms are casts of Hawkgirl.

The Cuffs of the gloves and Boots are milliput. The Boots bottom are cast from Supergirl(STAS).

The head was a wax sculpt, sculpted onto the hair piece of Hawkgirl and then molded and cast.

The Question. He was made from a cast lex luthor, the head was sculpted (easiest face I ever did), and the hat and trench are made from sculpy-flex.

Here is Huntress.

She is made from plastic casts of WW legs and torso, Cast hawkgirl arms and the cape is Sculpey flex.

The head was sculpted in wax onto WW hair and cast in plastic like shayera and stargirl.

huntress1.jpg

the crossbow was made from a clonetrooper gun and pieces of a shoulder strap from a stormtroopers rifle.

Superhero Showdown Batman

He was made from SHS Punisher. The cowel is milliput and the Cape is a piece of pantyhose.

Here are my entries for custom-con. I had grander schemes of 3 groups.

These are the only ones i got finished. I started the Friday before the deadline, so thats why i didnt get more finished.

Classic X-men. Recipies are on the Last Day of this Fall's Custom Con.

Here is Zatanna.

zatana-fin.jpg

She is made from casting ( get it cast...spell...) Wonderwoman legs and torso, hawkgirl arms, retooled WW head sculpted onto the hairpiece of WW, and Cast Mad Hatter hat.

Here is the figure before painting.

zatanawip2.jpg

Here is what i made the torso from.

zatanawip.jpg

Milliput has been added to a WW torso. Then molded and cast. Here you can see the face sculpt onto the WW hair piece. This pic was taken after De-mold so thats why the cracks in the wax. When i'm done i just remove the wax and re-use the hair for the next fig. This same hair piece was used for Fire and Huntress.

Here are a couple of my latest Star Wars Customs

This custom is a result of the Group project #7 over at scum. The group projects are sort of learning excercizes where we share different techniques to end up with the same figure.

squidlake.jpg

These parts were casted from Aya Vida with hands from Admiral Ackbar and then modified with wax and re-casted.

I casted the final parts in redish brown plastic to match ackbar.

ballet-moncal3.jpg

I drybrushed the browns on the figure leaving some of the red showing thru. I drybrushed the front of the clothing as to give it a sort of sheer look.(still trying to perfect that)

Vintage Chebacca in Snoova Disguise.

snoova-fin1.jpg

I layed off the detail on this one. I was sculpting and adding all these little details, and remebered, that the vintage line didnt have alot of detail.

It's got some rough spots that i would have taken more time to smooth out if i didnt wait till the last week to do this custom.

I also was gonna paint him one shade of brown like vintage chewie, but i remeberd He colored his fur for the disguise, so i gave him a couple washes of darker browns and black.

His Blaster is a cast and the Vibro Axe is the Scope and Butt of some random rifle i found in my Fodder box.

As for not being able to find a good reference pic, i did the next best thing... I made one.

Here is Snoova Carded.

snoova-fin2.jpg

I googled Machine and engine parts and grabbed a bunch of pictures and made it look like his armor and gadgets.

I even photoshoped a vintage shadows of the empire line for the back of the card.

Since SOTE took place between Ep 5 & 6, that where i placed the figs. Thats why i'm using the 41 back ESB card.

Super Articulated Bacara and Galactic marines.

bacarratroops.jpg

Bacara : Super Articulated Clone Body, Cast Tank gunner head and cast hollow bacara helmet. The rest of his gear came from bacara.

Galactic Marines: torso and arms #33 clone commander, Heads cast Tank gunner and Speeder Bike Clone, the shoulder pauldrons were casts as well. I took two #33's and spliced them so there was no big shoulder pad, just small on each side. I then made a mold of that.

The Skirts are cast form bacara's

The legs are Clone pilot on one and Snow trooper on the other. Couldnt decide which one i wanted to go with, so i did both.

The helmets are hollow casts of snow trooper with most of the helmet detail sanded off.

Here are the progress pics. She was sculpted in wax and cast in white plastic.

padme-progress1.jpg

padme-progress2.jpg

cartoon-padme.jpg

The cape is made from Bake and bend sculpey.

It sculpey that stays flexible after you bake it. It sands and holds paint like regular sculpey.

The cape is made in two pieces. the cape and the hood. The ties are made with little balls of sculpey rolled onto some floss.
