Voting Has Begun For The Top 32 Covers Of All Time

Dude as I said before, I'm done, so keep shouting fraud all you want, keep pretending that it wasn't fans that voted for the winning covers, keep pretending they didn't have other options other than X-men, I mean really do you think fans are stupid?

You really don't want me to answer that last part. As to your other statements, I've answered them below, since your post simply repeats them.

As much as you might like to believe that Toybiz fixed the vote, unless you have some data from their servers to show that no matter what people voted for their vote would count as a X-men vote, you need to just face facts….which is this, people had options and went with X-men, END OF STORY!

I'm not saying any of that, and I'll thank you kindly not to put things like that in my mouth.

I'm not sure how I can make it any clearer that the sheer number of X-Men covers made it impossible for the vote to come out without a majority of X-Men covers in the final round. No one had to do anything to rig it once the contest started. Just count on the X-Men fans to vote X-Men, and figure that the lack of decent options would force even people who wouldn't normally vote X-Men to do so. As you can plainly see from the comments in the first page and a half of this thread, people did indeed do that. The only other option was to vote for crappy covers, or not vote at all. That's not a choice, that's a sham, and it disturbs me that you can't see it.

Also by that one definition you just posted it would have been virtually impossible for Marvel to have held a fair or democratic vote.  Do you know how many characters have or have had marvel comics, shouldn’t they all have had their vote as well?

To an extent, yes. I'm not saying every single Marvel character should have a say, but how hard would it have been to give one cover to each of Marvel's top groups/characters? No way should over 20 of the 32 covers been X-Men or related. I'm not debating the popularity of the X-Men, I'm debating that the number of fans they have justify X-Men covers making up over 60% of the "choices."

Also the day you base you decisions, thoughts or arguments on one source is the day you have lost touch with trying to be accurate, there is no way a dictionary can give you a fully accurate definition of something so deep as democracy, look it up in a politics college text book.

One source? One definition from a dictionary and I'm suddenly without other resources? You know nothing of my background, education, or other sources which I have- as a result, please do not attempt to trivialize my statements in such a rude fashion.

In the model of democracy, all positions would have equal say, and all voters an equal chance to voice their support. There is no denying that this was not the case here. There was a clear bias to the X-Men and it's related properties. There were cases in which another option was not made available.

This is without going into the fact that the set voting days changed after the start of the contest! The rules changed after the contest began- how do you account for the "fairness" in that?

OMG I'M SO FREAKING DISGUSTED

they picked the Kitty Pryde/Colossus scene over either Astonishing X-Men scene.. they have the same people in them!!! argh! it's not even a famous battle.. why was it even let in?

Kitty Pryde is already being made anyway

the other finalist was the X-Men #1 which is the other one I was hoping for. I mean it was my second choice to Astonishing X-Men which I really wanted.. Jim Lee Cyclops would rock

Everyone vote X-Men #1

Yeah I thought it would have come down to Astonishing X-men #7 vs Xmen #1. I'm not really disgusted but I'm not sure Astonishing X-men #6 would make a great ML set (if they're going to be MLs), though I'm hoping X-Men #1 will win.

man now I kinda wish I hadn't split my votes on that one side.. at first I was voting for Astonishing then I switched to X-Men #1

I don't know if 5 or so votes coulda helped but yeah I would have rather had Astonishing since we have most X-Men #1 figures

Its good to see so many people voting for X-Men #1, I just hope this turns out to be a ML box set and not just some little statues....that would be a downer.
