go over to Marvel.com to vote for the top 32 covers of all time..

Round one just started.

The covers I nominated didn't make it.. and there aren't many covers that they chose that wow me..

but the winner will get some kind of Marvel Legends toy treatment.. so it is IMPORTANT to vote.

There's some weird choices there...I mean seriously, Giant Sized Spider-Woman? It's a generic hot babe pin-up type drawing, has it even come out yet?

I'm not registered and am far too lazy to actually sign up, so I present to you:

RandomHeros approved list of acceptible covers

Avengers 4

Uncanny X-Men 136

Avengers 277

Silver Surfer 4

Amazing Spider-Man 238

Uncanny X-men 101

Incredible Hulk 340

Amazing Spider-Man 316

As long as one of these wins, all is right with the world. Although I could probably come up with at least 20 better Marvel covers than this, but beggars can't be choosers.

from the list I voted on today, I am pulling for Defenders #1

(but I am sure they could have found a better Defenders cover that actually had all 4 members on it)

I really want the Jim Lee X-Men Cover - yes, we've seen them released in varying degrees, but I wouldn't mind a ML sculpted scaled Cyclops, Jean, Psylocke, and the others...

Oh wait I see how it works

Those choices are PITIFUL; 60 years worth of comics and this is the BEST they can come-up with?! I chose covers (not that they're my favorites) that represented characters that either haven't been produced or warranted an improved version. Honestly though, of the choice initially offered, the majority have been done; kind'a makes you wonder if the "suits"have already made their decision and are simply planning a box-set of previously-released figures to save money! @lol@

Ultimates #1

Captain A #241

X-Men Alpha

Wolverine #31

This is what i wanted, What ever happened to Whilce Portacio?

It's a waste of time if this new contest is based on making more dioramas like the FF one which features tiny statues with no POA. Now if it's gonna be a 6'scale, box set dio based on the cover, someone please let me know if that's the case. Then I'll vote.

Most of these covers are just lame. If these are to be made into ML figures, a good portion of the characters on those covers have already been done, many of them not even needing a second go-round. I mean, honestly, Uncanny X-Men #213... MORE Wolverine and Sabretooth? Excuse me while I lose my lunch. Uncanny #136? Outside of Storm in that particular outfit, we have all of them, and I don't care enough to buy most of those characters again.

If these are to be the Marvel Masterworks-style dioramas, most of them still suck. That Astonishing X-Men cover just wouldn't work well as a dio. I can't even imagine how they COULD get a dio out of Uncanny #213...

And this is only the first bracket. I haven't even seen the second yet, and I'm already underwhelmed. I have to agree fully with those who are wondering how this is the best they can come up with out of 40 years of history...

The final rounds seem to be a bit more promising, though not as epic I would have imagined. I do,however, have more confidence that we will eventually see Adam Warlock, Beta Ray Bill, Baron Zemo, Spiderwoman, Cloak and Dagger, and a few others at some point. Throw-in a Luke Cage(classic),Moon-Knight, She-Hulk, Hercules, Quicksilver, Sub-Mariner(classic), Storm(classic) and I think I could call my collection(nearly)complete. If all-else fails, I hope that we at-least get a classic X-Men box-set.

What I've voted for in the Western Conference Division Playoffs:

Kingpin Division: X-MEN: Phoenix - Endsong #1

Magneto Division: Uncanny X-MEN #213

Otto Octavius Division: Astonishing X-MEN #1

Mysterio Memorial Division: X-MEN #1

Now, for what I plan to vote for in the Eastern Conference Division Playoffs:

Von Doom Division: Uncanny X-MEN #101

Galactus Division: Cloak and Dagger #1 (Surprised ??? :P)

Thanos Division: Giant Size Spider-Woman #1 (Surprised again ??? :P)

Kang Division: Amazing Spider-Man #316 (Surprised myself on this one. :P)

Just to clarify these will not be in anyway using actual Marvel Legends figures. It's a new line most likely static diorams being made under the legends banner.

I definitely don't think that has been decided.

On their website it says that the winning cover and best fight will help decide a super secret Marvel Legends project.

I still don't think those diorama things will be called Marvel Legends.. Superhero Showdown got a name, Figure Factory got a name... it wouldn't make sense to add anything other than more Marvel Legends under that moniker

You people voting exlusively X-Men covers make me sick. @smilepunch@

Part 2 has some pretty cool choices. Infinity Gauntlet, and West Coast Avengers caught my eye.
