Of topic:  Takara, when are you gonna give us ULTRA MAGNUS in the bookstyle collection?

Probably never. The 1st reissue from 3 - 4 years ago was a shelf-rotter from hell in Japan.

But you must remember how exppensive it was to do Soundwave thats why he cost so much when he came out.

What I heard is they only needed to fix the chest, which is why the chest/door hinge is different. They had to repair several parts of Jazz, but still charged as much for him as any other Autobot car.

:) :) Now that's what I called: Takara, you are the MAN!!!!!!

Serious, I can't so wait to have him! When I first got into TF again back in 2000, my first ebay auction that I bid and won was Blaster. When I got the darn figure, I realized the deck tape didn't operate and so I took matter into my own hand. After so many minutes pass by and my operation was a failure, I got frustrated and decided to tear him apart. I decapitated his head and hanged it on my display case to remind myself never again will I buy a loose figure from ebay. The the rest of his body parts were trash in the garbage can. As for the gun, I gave it to the Crazyman.

Now, I have a chance to own a MISB!

I just want to know about cassets at this point. I have a Blaster already, but would spend the money to get a complete working one with cassets that are worth while.

If any of them have half a brain, they'll do special cassetticon reissue sets, like they did with the minibots. :)

I have 2(3?) Blasters and 3 Soundwaves. They need minions!!!!

:) :) ah, you do realize that Blaster already equipped with a functional eject button?

My guess for the black button is for the Volume control......or maybe he already got that too, I don't recall.

"Functional" is a matter of opinion. ;)

As easy as the old one apparently was/is to break, and given where the mechanism is actually located (directly behind that black button, if I recall), it would actually make sense here..

..after all, they don't want people pissing and moaning 'cause they've broken the eject button on their snazzy new $40 or $50 reissue, do they?

That's my take on it, at least until we find out otherwise. :)

Clones? If you mean the Coneheads, it's not really a fault with Hasbro. Actually, it's a misconception entirely that the majority of the fault, if not all of it, lies with Hasbro in regards to the TRU Reissue line. The primary blame-taker is Toys R Us, thanks to the beauty of price gouging. Looking at the situation from a business standpoint, I can't blame Hasbro whatsoever for allowing TRU to be the only seller of the Reissue line. After all, when the decision was made, TRU was the only toys only corporate retail store/company still in existence and still a financial and corporate heavyweight, at the time. While Walmart and Target might be larger companies, for the markets that the Reissue line was primarily targeted for, which would be kids, what better choice is there than a 20+ year old toy retail company?

the eject button is functional... well it is if you know how to fix it. mine was nonfunctional for 18 years until i just decided to take him apart and re-assembled him and he works fine now. i think when they manufactured him, they put in a piece backwards (if i remember right). anyway, it's not that hard to do, and you can probably find instructions on how to do it if you just look around the forums.

also, as far as the expense, it shouldn't be overly high just on size alone, since he doesn't have any diecast parts at all.

My bad, coneheads... im thinking SW there... But either way it's still Hasbro's fault for not letting other retailers sell those reissues....

Too bad we wont' see any more soon....except astrotrain.

if Hasbro successfully releases the reissue ATrain than I predict Trailbreaker would be the next Hasbro reissue.

Excellent news as always from Takara. I will be getting two of these, especially now that Steeljaw is involved. I just hope he's not too pricey here considering he is all plastic. Although Steeljaw has some diecast so who knows. Anyways great choice Takara! We're getting closer at finishing off the first two series.
