Found Ml 10, Then Put Them Back

a lil rant

 

stopped by wal mart on my way home from school at about 2300. i have not seen a full set of the sentinel series, until tonight. as i was picking out one of each character, a represntative was stacking some away on the high shelves. she reached over to me and wanted to grab the tower of figures i was holding to put on the top shelf. i kindly told her i was going to buy them and she gave me that stunned/ disgusted look. i was missing omega red and saw him on the top shelf and asked the lady if i could see some up there. she scorned at me and said "theyre all the same ones down there."

i politley left and scattered all of what i had all around the store on my way to the check out lane. all i had left when i got there was a black panther and a smiling bullseye (only variant galactus series figure ive ever seen)

 

there was probably a variant angel and cyclops up there too, since it looked like a brand new case had been pulled.

 

everytime i go to walmart i remind myself of why the hell i stay away from that place. shoddy service, long lines, cramped aisles, shoddy service and the stench of mcdonalds forced down every orifice on my face. my lesson, stay loyal to target.

Personally I would've started grabbing them off of the shelf as she was putting them up there until I found my Omega Red. You're the consumer so you can look through 50 1st App. Spideys if you want, it's none of her concern.

I can't count how many times that has been said to me by employees. You just have to push them, they eventually do it, and then you can rub it their faces when the figures are different.

You put them back 'cuz of her??? Who is she to you!?! Climb the ladder and take what you want...it's your cash, and her job, she don't like it...give her $%#* then talk to a manager. I personally have never had problems with WM, usually get pretty good service.

Actually you aren't allowed to climb on the ladder. That's a good way to get kicked out of the store.

I took the ladder off the column once, carried it over (three aisles away),set it up, and proceeded to go through the massive ammounts of series 8 they had on the top shelf. Fortunately no-one caught me, however about 10 people stopped and asked me where lightbulbs and such were. I smiled and politely gave them CRAZY directions all over the store(I had no idea!) from atop my "official" WM ladder...what a HOOT!! @lol@

P.S. Please kids, DON"T do this! I don't know what came over me, but I was tired of waiting for someone to help me(about 30 min. w/o seeing a soul).

Ladders? Are you all short or do your Wal-Marts have high shelves? At each walmart near me (all 5) I can pretty easily reach the top shelves and I'm only 5'10".

 

Just grab one of those FF movie Mr. Fantastic arms and reach up there.

i agree, you should have no trouble finding one of those to use!!

 

and by dropping those off around the store may have recked a chance for someone else to get what they wanted, it takes forever for them to put items back where they belong, i've found toys in the ladies sections(i was with my girlfriend ok!!)...you should have made her climb up and down that ladder 50 times until you got what you wanted...remember the customer is always right!!

And why didn't you just wait a couple minutes and then go back to the aisle when she was gone? It's pretty easy to get stuff down from up high yourself. In the absence of a Mr. Fantastic arm, Star Wars lightsabers work pretty good for getting at top shelves too. Dispersing the figures throughout the store didn't accomplish anything. You got no figures and another collector might've missed them too. The cranky Walmart lady won this round.

on the bright side.. if they were the 15 PDQ cases (15 piece assortment Walmart exclusive) I can almost guarantee that there weren't any variants in there.

Well being a former Wal Mart employee myself (just for 4 months!) I can say that all the folks I've dealt with are cool. In fact, today I asked a guy to get the ladder and look for me a blue Angel or blue/white Cyke and he was up there combing through them for me. Everything was "yes sir, yes sir, no sir, no sir." Didn't have any luck on either figure but the guy was cool and even said sorry I couldn't help. People like that rock. Anyways, I had already gotten the entire set of 7 and my sole purpose was to get the other five (minus Mystique) needed to complete another Sentinel but then....I dunno...they had em but I just said who needs another Sentinel lol. Anyways, for all u Texas ML hunters, Waco Wal Mart on North i35 has a TON of ML 10. They filled one of those end caps with them 5 rows deep and about 10 across and 10 high. You do the math Oh, and thats in addition to the regular selection on the pegs!
