I have to say, the G1 Soundwave figure still looks REALLY good, even by today's (TF) toy standards!!! @cool@

 

Definitely a classic (IMO)!!!

 

The Galaxy Force version, on the other hand, takes some time to grow on ya, IMO!!!

 

It's not a (really) bad design, but it DOES take some gettin' used to!!!

 

Odd proportions and angles, I think!?!?!

 

Overall, though, I think they're both good Decepticon action figs!!!

The Galaxy Force one reminds me a lot of Shockwave for some reason. I hope they make more mini-bots for him when he's released.

wow! looking at them in comparison, GF Soundwave looks real good. He is a homage that is done very well.

The head is the real clincher for me. It's based more on the head of the G1 toy than the show version. It doesn't click with me.

Yeah he just came out in JP two days ago (Action HQ shipped my preorder and still has some in stock now I think). US based stores like BBTS should have him within the next two weeks

 

Gotta say Soundwave has got to be one of thebest homages ever, I real step up compared to the orginal (which was by no means a slouch)

He's got a great looking jet mode too. As far as I'm concerned, you can never have enough cool transforming jets!

Soundwave is a truly classic toy... I was so happy to get my reissued version! Amazing how it holds up to new stuff.
