well personaly I think Irish Legend should get praise , cheers mate the repaints look great and are inspiring me to have a go , would also say that jackzero has a small point to make , I want to get another pheonix but everywhere so far has either not stocked it or sold out

 

The only answer is to order 1/2 from emoss and hope they arrive this lifetime

 

and I also completly agree that the # sold may help to extend the line and get us more specials aswell.

 

So keep up the good work

 

ps if you ever want to pass on your reworks just let me now , my painting skillls are frightening

I think Eaglemoss are trying to rip me off. When I subscribed I said I didn't want to receive stands/binders automatically, but I did order one seperately from the site. I rang up today to find out when it'd be arriving, and as far as I can tell, I'm gonna be sent them automatically. The woman on the other end didn't seem to understand what I was trying to say, but she did manage to say that I should get 'external' plinth with my next delivery.

:OT: but, I contacted eaglemoss today regarding my subscription with them for The lord of the Rings Collection.

 

Over the past 2 years I have only received 29 issues from them. My last 4 models came together at the beginning of August. No invoice came with these.

 

Today I got a reply from them and the reason I had not received issues was my account was in debt. In nearly six months they have never contacted me saying that I owed them money and if I had never contacted them regarding not getting the issues, I wonder when they would have asked for the money I owe them.

 

What a company

 

I just wish I had cancelled that subscription many months ago and get them from my newsagent like I do with the marvel ones.

awesome post (assuming its true which i hope so) and from that we could also deduce the specials.

 

Looking at the family tree of the booklet with issue 1, these characters are missing, and so presumably some will be specials:

 

Fantastic 4: Annihulus, Galactus, Black Bolt, Impossible Man, Crystal, Moleman

 

Avengers: Hulk, Warbird, Quicksilver, Wonderman, Hercules

 

Spider-man: Aunt May, Jackal, Vulture, Rhino, Hobgoblin, JJ Jameson, Prowler

 

X-men: All mentioned (collosus missing - not on family tree in middle)

 

Marvel Knights: Kingpin, Luke Cage, Owl, Man-thing, Black Widow, Morbius, Moon Knight

 

 

 

NB. Apocalypse is mentioned, but not in the booklet, so no reason why Collossus wont be done as a special

Looking at some of the ones missing of the list, some of them can be guessed, for example i cant see them not doing:

 

Quicksilver, Colossus, Rhino. Hobgoblin

 

Makes sense that if Galactus was done it would be a special due to his size.

 

We know theres going to be a man-thing issue probably, Hulk has already been done, and we're predicting 10 specials in total, so the other 3-4 are anyones guess.

 

Black Bolt, Warbird, Luke Cage maybe? or possibly even a Juggernaut, Moon Knight or a Kingpin, its really hard to even guess at

Because of his size, I'd doubt they'd do a Galactus figurine. He would be far bigger than any other figure and would probably take up 2 stands on his own.

It would be a shame if Galactus was overlooked simply because of his size. Even if there was a figurine made twice as tall as the rest of them - it would still imply this guy is a giant. maybe not to scale, but who cares?

to not include Collosus in this collection , would definately be a real letdown .As a big x-man fan there are atleast 10 others in the list I could live without

 

Ah well the only thing that can let this series down ( will not even mention emoss as blodd will boil) is the limited number of characters, not everyone can be done .

Does anyone else think that the specials aren't really worth 9.99? It may be a little ungrateful of me to say it, but other than the size of the figures, (and due to us not knowing who the special's characters are, we actually don't know if they will be the bigger charcters...) there is very little extra you are getting for your extra cash, especially when you have figures like sabertooth, the thing, and venom in the main collection for the normal price, who are the bigger sizes.

 

Having said that, of course I will eagerly be waiting for any of the collection, but just felt a little disappointed from what I got from the special, in that it wasn't that overly 'special'

 

What do you guys think?

I initally thought it was based on size, but seeing how people like the Thing, Venom, Prof X etc are normal issues, I dont really know.

 

Considering that if Rhino, or Colossus were made theyd be in the specials list, maybe it is to do with size, but people like Quicksilver or Hobgoblin, who I'm assuming will be a specials as they're not in the list, are a lot smaller than Venom or the Thing, so i dont really understand their logic anymore, unless they come with extra stuff, like Hobgoblin's hoverboard thingy-ma-jig. hmmmm. Guess we'll have to wait and see...

Gotta say they heavily leaned towards the X men family with these figurines but i can't say i am surprised at that. Hopefully none of the specials will be x men family and that will mean we will see more of the others but i doubt it. I would say there will be at least one x-men special and i definitely opt for Collosus.

 

Surprised to see Black Widow left out of the marvel knights family considering she is one of the major players. Also surprised that ghost rider isn't a special

 

I think Luke Cage, Kingpin and man thing will be specials. Can't see black widow or moon knight being a special, assuming they are based on size which makes sense.

yeah i'd like to see a juggernaught too, and with all the featured x-men in the 1st magazine being done, theres a gd chance he'll be done as a special, especially because of his size.

I was terrified that we might not get Emma Frost or Mystique... if that list is true, and it does seem like a very likely list, then the X characters are great!!

 

Anyone think a Sentinal could be a special too??

No Quicksilver , Hercules , Wonder Man , Black Widow or Black Knight , but other than that , the list's great !

 

Hopefully , the Specials will cover off some of these , although I think we're all assuming they'll be £8.99/£9.99 because they'll be bigger figures like the Hulk issue -- why not a special that has a regular-sized character at a regular price ? ( And yes , I am struggling then to justify why it would be 'Special' , but they have said they'll do the "family tree" , which includes 4 out of the 5 characters mentioned above , and which aren't on the Athens list ... )

 

Galactus is always going to be interesting , if he's featured at all -- even at twice the size of an average figure , he'd be a considerable weight .... maybe they'll just do his head ... ! Or a head/shoulders bust ?
