Ok, I purchase a few Model Masters metallic enamel paints today and I have a few questions.

1.) What is the difference in the base of these enamels compared to the other enamels that Testors makes? (i.e. stickyness, drying time.)

2.) Are these paints reccomended, are do the rest of you prefer the acrylics?

3.) Are metallic colors offered in acyrilic.?

4.) Are these paints oil-based or water-based? (semi-related to question 1)

Word on that!

I use mm exclusively now.

As far as enamels, stay away! They stay tacky and never really bond to the plastic.

I get them from a local hobby store called "Hobbytown USA".

You can also order them direct from Testor's. From what Jin says, nice cheap shipping too.

testors.com ???

Yep. I order from them all the time. And I just ordered from them now for the gold Acrylic paint. Quick question though; In the photo testors.com provided, the paint looks white. Why is that?

if you already Bought the enamels dont use them, yet, youll have to make sure your figures are primed really really well, this way the enamel never touches the plastic and therefore dries. as far as what to use for primer, most people prefer Krylon Fusion, but make sure you do it outside and from a decent distance to prevent globs
