Crimson Shadow Guard

Does anyone else think the CSG would have looked a lot better if there was at least a tiny splotch of red ANYWHERE on the figure???

I think black and red is a great color combo. But it just seems odd to me to call it the "Crimson" shadow guard and there is no red on the figure anywhere... It would be sweet if the chain were colored red, or the cobra symbol, or even better, a silver chain, silver cobra symbol, and a red hankey or symbol or something on its chest pocket thingie... Just a tiny dab of red.

I would go with a touch of Dark VBlue on the chest and shoulders.

I think there perfect the way they are. The black and Gold is striking. The name is perfect because What do you get when the sun is cast on a Crimson guard, thats right the Crimson guards shadow. And shadows are shadey. So these guys are that simply a darker color for stealth. Hope that Helps :)

Sounds reasonable to me. Despite the colors the CSG and CGI tank driver are STILL wearing CGI uniforms. The CGs are one of CCs proudest achievements. Im sure he wouldnt okay the CSG if HE wasnt fine with the outfits as they were. If he didnt come up with the concept he STILL would have had to approve it.

And the color red wavelength travels farther than most other colors. All black would be more dificult to see at night than black with a little red on it. Its simply more practical, albeit slightly.

My only complaint is the overused Dusty v3 BackpackThey ought to have come with the remolded CG v1 backpack or at least Baroness'.

As for the swords, it isnt unusual for infiltration specialists to use silent weapons like knives. The inclusion of weapons with silencers would have been more fitting. But edged weapons arent all that unreasonable. Just maybe not so many.

I think they're fine as well. As much as "Crimson" may refer to the color of the sieges' uniforms, doesn't mean they can't have a very elite branch with uniforms such as these.

As for the weapons... who knows. I'd have to read the filecard. Personally though, as much as I enjoy reading them, I always like to make up my own version of things.

I've warmed up a lot to the new heads. They dont bug me so much. Heck TECHNICALLY if you think about it the old heads are way too small. Helmets are supposed to be bigger than heads. And since these arent even just like green army helmets but are big whole head helmets, they would be even bigger... picture a motorcycle helmet.

I agree, the heads have improved since the original (By original I mean the first removable helmet). I can stomach the helmets that we saw on the TRU Crimson Guard six pack and these follow suit than I'll be happy with them. I plan to buy a bunch of these sets.

I can't tell any difference from Agent Faces' helmet and the TRU sets. Faces had a bigger head...but that's all I noticed.

Hehe - I agree with everything else you said, Doc, but man - those are Japanese Samurai swords they've got! And a big Chinese broadsword!Definitely unusual, and not at all practical... A selection of suppressed SMGs and sniper rifles would have been ideal.

But personally, I like the figure. Whether I buy them or not remains to be seen, but the design looks good. I also like the fact that there aren't any unique characters, so it's very army-builder friendly. We shall see...

The Helmets are narrower on the six pack version. Making the Helmets look smaller and more proportional.

Just look at how the original helmets weren't so big. Helmets are bigger, but unless they're using converted football helmets they're not that much bigger.

I like them in black, just want different weapons

Eh......... I have extra weapons by the tons, so that's not a problem for me.

If it has to be black, I wish it was more glossy instead of flat.

yeah, I guess I shouldn't complain about that, I mean, I have a drawer full of weapons, lol.. seeig how all the new VvV figures came with a small arsenal each...

who knows, maybe the final production black will be glossier
