hmmmmmmmmm

It's very nice (as are the colours actually) but this Skids business smells a lot like the Sunstreaker-nope-dead end, trail beaker-nope-swindle, blue tracks-nope-yellow tracks, prowl-nope-red alert, red alert-nope-prowl, type situations that the line has been plagued by... I can't see this fellow NOT being repainted as Ironhide somewhere down the line.

That looks even more like Skids in vehicle mode.

Yeah, the transformation scheme reminded me far more as Skids than as Ironhide. We've seen a lot of similar hood-as-chest, door wings, back of vehicle as legs transformations, so at least Skids' G1 transformation scheme fits. I just hope this becomes Autobot Skids over here rather than Skid-Z or Overhaul or some such anachronism.

I'm torn on this one now.. I hate the Scion, but the bot looks pretty good now.

Its a Scion xB. Real car. Real ugly car. But I love Skids. That's a very nice homage to his G1 self.

One thing I don't like about skids. I read the front seats can be taken out to make transformation easier... now if that's all then cool, but if they removable parts... eek

Well, transformation isn't really a key to comparing G1 and alternator versions. Roughly half have different transformations in comparison between the two.

Why would people prefer that it be Ironhide? It looks more like Skids to me. Might make a good Trailbreaker or perhaps Ratchet.
