Wow I Just Had A Bad Experience

So I received my package of the 4 joe figures I ordered from Hasbro Toy Shop. Well I'm not really pleased. Extremely frustrated is more like it. I only got 4 figures because I wanted to see how the service was, and I'm glad I did this. Every figure has a messed up/bent card. I'm not usually a MOC collector but Mutt is my favorite character so I bought 2 just so I could have one moc and one loose. I figured if one of the figure's card got damaged I could overlook it and open that one and the other would stay sealed. Well guess what, they're both in crappy condition. I'd rather have scourged the Wal-Mart clearance aisle for my moc joes than ordered from HTS. All 4 cards as extremely messed up. One mut has a huge crease down the side of it that bends it completely and looks like it's starting to tear. The Major Barrage is bent in the center, it looks like someone punched it. Spirit's is just a little bent but that one is acceptable to me (probably not to others) and the final Mutt, well you can see it here (though it looks worse in real life):

I'm not a MOC collector and I'm not picky at all, but I've seen toys stores in a basement for 20 years with no protection whatsoever that are in better condition.

I'm do disappointed. I'll just wait until diamond carries the line and I'll get them through my comic store. Let's hope those aren't damaged too.

Call them and tell them, if the item to you is considered "damaged" then send it back and they should send you a new one (hopefully good)

2nd i think its a matter of luck. All the moc joes i got from htc were on perfect uncreased cards, one CG had a crease and bend but that was it, the rest are perfectly straight. that was also they case with my bros order from HTC. Its disappointing to be hearing this but i guess its luck of the draw.

Maybe on their website they should have a new selection at checkout, a button to click on for a card c-8 or better or worse depending if your a opener or MOCer. But that is only if the cards keep coming banged up

that really bites man.

As each day goes by and I dont even HAVE mine, this is turning into more and more of a bad experience with them as well.

As for the card showed in the pic, try laying it flat on a hard surface (like a table or desk) and then place a few books over the bent part, if you havent already. This will take care of the warping, but if theres creasing then I dont know if theres any fix for that.

Maybe hasbro will see all the complaints (and hear them on the phone!) and will learn to pack things better, though from what Ive read here it seems the Post office is to blame for a lot of these.

No this one was definitely the packing job. They placed the figures on top of one another in a box too big. Because the paper card extends past the plastic (similar to like ALL 80's action figures packaging, including GI Joe) the paper was unsupported and got bent and such.

That's really weird that you didn't get yours yet. I ordered mine 3 days ago and they already got here, if you've been waiting then I would definitely chew out someone on the phone (though they may not deserve it, being really pissed off will send a message that they need better service).

Sorry Leo, but you should be able to get some replacements. I have seen and heard of a lot coming damaged. STraight from a mint sealed case! So they are being banged up before they are even being sealed in most cases it looks like.

Sorry to hear about that Leo, some of mine came bent too and when I called all they did was applogize, they did not even suggest to send them back for re placement.... again sorry to hear about your experience.

at least you got yours

Amen to that!

I ordered my stuff on the 25th and STILL have yet to receive anything from HTS other than a lot of bad information and attitude when I call their service reps.

i think its a matter of luck.

That was already a concern with MOC collectors, with the whole business of shopping online, where you can't inspect the figures for yourself, to get the best posed figure (within the bubble) the best paint apps, and of course the best looking card overall.

Having the "luck of the draw", isn't going to ease those concerns much.

Too bad they don't have the option of LOOSE and in baggies? Save a buck or two on the price to have your figures sent this way.

Those are defintely big concerns, even though im not a MOC collector I like for my cardbacks to be nice and flat cause I put them on the wall to display. As for the bad service I havent had a problem with them at all. I got a Mutt with no nightstick, and they were more than happy to help me. I called and they handled my problem really quick. I know they put in the boxes return slip if you have a problem with their stuff, so that shows they are trying. Im not sure what to make of the figures ordered at the con not being there yet. I think its a case of being lost in the mail or something. We also have to realize every company has some funky people, leo and maybe others just happened to get that one customer rep who hates their job. Dont let that mess u up though. call back immediatly afterwards and get another rep. I had the same problem with Sony. The rep actually hung up on me. I called back got someone else, solved my problem and got the other guy in trouble. Anyway Im rambling....

I tell you.Hasbro did this because Walmart and other retail chains were clogged with figures that weren't selling.Walmart decided to can the Joe line. Now,Hasbro is doing this on line stuff.Retail stores still don't grapple the fact that some Joe and Star Wars collecters are fickle. They want to see new figures on the pegs and not the same stuff that has been sitting there from when it was put out.

I'm sorry to hear you were so displeased with your service, leonardo. I couldn't have been happier with mine. I will point out something though about your order; if you don't order a standard case of figures they just pack whichever ones you do order in a box and pack around them. The box my order came in was quite large. It had the smaller factory case like you see in stores on pallets containing the complete wave, then the extra GCs I ordered were just packed inside the box around the smaller case box. Now there were one or two of the CGS that had creases, but most of them were on great cards. Again I'm sorry you are so unhappy with your experience. I guess it's like someone else said; it's the luck of the draw when dealing with online orders. I'm not as big a MOC collector as I used to be, but I love these new cards so much I want a few MOMC for displaying.

Well I had a great experience so far... I finally placed my order just this morning for my case. YAY! But when I got to shipping the shipping seemed way too much. After hearing other people about getting reimbursed for improper shipping I thought I would call the customer service number before I placed my order. I got a real breathing human being in about 2 seconds which rocked... Oh and might I say she had a really hot sounding voice too! (perv-i-am) and she was very helpful. After a bit of confusion and retyping my order in, she finally realized that I had accidently dropped the menu down to priority shipping and thats why my shipping cost was different. We both had a good laugh, she placed my order. Mission Accomplished.

Now lets just hope I get my figs in a timely manner and they look good. Im not a MOC collector, but considering the nice card art I am planning on very carefully removing the figures so I can save the card backs. Ordinarily I cut out and save the file cards, but on these I believe I will just save full card backs.

If they are banged up in sealed cases like that, does this mean that other online stores carrying them will get them banged up too?

I'm going to open everything I have ordered so I don't really mind, just curious.
