Sdcc News: Dc Superheroes 6" Line!!

Hello to everyone, and greetings from the ROC!

 

The first breaking news is out from SDCC...the much talked about, much teased word is finally out - a Four Horsemen sculpted DC Universe Heroes line, featuring Batman and Superman!

 

Here's the word from Brian at SDCC:

 

Ok folks...

 

It's time for us all to put our money where our mouths are...

 

The new 6" line will feature BOTH Batman & Superman waves. I'm not going to spill the beans on the charachters till tommorrow, but let's just say that you will see new Batmans and some rereleases as well with added bonuses. The Superman wave will have some very cool charachters as well.

 

Yes... these ARE Four Horsemen sculpts people.

 

So this it..you wanted a DC line to go along with your Marvel Legends..now you will have the chance! You've asked for improvements in articulation, here it is. You wanted some specific charchters and asked the question "Why can't Mattel..." about a line like this.

 

Sorry I can't and won't go into specifics right at this very moment..maybe later tonight:)

Sounds pretty cool. I just hope they look good, we all have been wanting a super posable batman for years, lets hope this is it

Oh baby! A six inch DC line! This just what I want!

 

The only downside that I see is that the 4 Horsemen, while doing very cool looking detailed sculpts, don't go in for a lot of posability which will limit the DC figs interaction with ML. However, at least they will be in scale and knowing the quality work of the Horsemen, will be excellent figures. I can't wait to see them!

Don't count on a lack of articulation...I think you'll be pleasantly surprised...think Bat Signal Batman...

I think that some people confuse scale with sculpt.. GiJoe and Starwars are the same scale, but don't fit in with each other at all...
