Well, one can only hope.

If they go with more articulation than the DC Direct line, then I'm all for it.............but............doesn't this sound like it might ( potentially) conflict with DC Direct if its the same scale?

Maybe it will be like the Mattel Batman line?? I'm all for it if it has as much variety like the JLU line and Super Powers line.

My guess is that it will be based on the 6 inch Batman line with similar scale/articulated figures.

 

I seem to remember a while back there were rumors that the 6 inch Batman line would evolve into a Superman line and then into a DC Superhero line. Looks like they decided to skip a step.

 

You want to know what will bring this line down faster than Rosie O'Donnel on a pizza? If they decide to over-saturate us with Batman and Superman.

It wouldn't really compete with DCD...

It would be like Marvel Legends and Marvel Selects. Marvel Legends for Mass Market and Marvel Selects with higher quality sculpts and lesser articulation for "collectors" direct market at a higher price point. I just hope they refine the articulation and make it comporable with Legends.

I also hope they make it "artist" specific like DCD is starting to do. The realism of the DCD line was an eyesore to me. I hope Majestic and Eradicator oare in the mix!!!

I agree with you except I hope they don't over-articulate like ML.

Looking at the new, clearer pics, I'm loving what I see. Great articulation but not useless like some ML joints. I don't like the packaging though...Mattel needs to go the clamshell route IMO.

Yeah...

I LOVE that Azrael...

I wish it had a tad bit more artic, but I can deal with what they've got so far. As long as they are more poseable than the McF Statues.

 

I'm not thrilled with the Packaging either. Seems kinda cheap, especially with as nice as the Batman 6" line looked.

 

Be interesting to see when they are due out and how much they will be.

Okay..

I'm pleased with the start, but I wish they would do a few things.

1) Give them double elbows & knees

2) Give them ALL the same Hip Artic as the Super Articulated Batman

3) Give them either swappable hands or articulated hands

4) Ab crunch artic

5) Make sure they have wrist and ankle artic (either at the boot/glove cuts or at the wrist/ankle proper)

 

I do like the look though (well of all the new stuff, the first supes SUCKS, don't see anyone but completists buying him with the other in the line)

 

We might get a DC v Marvel figure set up yet (at least on my shelves)

The Superman head sculpt doesnt' look that great at all. DCD has the best Superman's hands down.

 

Azrael is definetely the best looking one out of the bunch even though he stole Daredevil's cross.

 

Packaging...so so.
