Transformers/star Wars Crossover

Well the big news over the last few days has been the news that there seems to be a Transformers/Star Wars crossover coming soon. I'm just wondering what thoughts some people around here have about this.

I'm all for it as long as it's executed well. Only a few of the new Joe and TF: Cybertron molds are must-haves for me, so I have enough money sitting around right now to pick up some of these so long as they look good.

I don't like the idea of SW/TF they should remain they're own seperate Universe. Though it may prove interesting.

Well I started the topic so I guess I should add my 2 cents. I haven't had any interest in collecting anything Star Wars since I was a kid so this whole idea is only so-so to me.

 

 

Now if they end up making some of the coolest ships into transforming robots, and do a good job of it then I might be interested, but it will have to be REALLY good or else I really couldn't care less. Something tells me this isn't going to turn out very good at all.

I've been thinking this exact tsame thing for a few days. Someone stole my brain!

 

All I was thinking was a custom BT Ravage with a Darth Vader head, with Stormtroopers as passengers. Or maybe a line in the style of Alternators, but with realistic SW ships instead of 1/24 cars.

 

Dunno how they'll execute this, but to me it could go either way at the moment

I can see this being decent if popular Transformers can become famous Star Wars vehicles. I think seeing a Saber class fighter tank turn into Megatron would be pretty hot.

Can anyone else see the grey Vector Prime being released as "Sith Infiltrator"? I severely hope this is not the thinking behind the line, and that it will be more adult/collector orientated.

One things for sure, Hasbro had better start paying A LOT more attention to the small details because if they hope to hook the Star Wars fans then they'll need to. This cheapening on paint apps and not granting figures the amount of articulation that they easily could have simply will not fly. That will only lead to twice the amount of pissed off collectors and I don't think Hasbro needs that.
