Gf/cybertron Soundwave

I'm thinking laserbeak is some kinda powerup/chip type thingy.... As for the hand... Disapointing yes, however I'm getting use to the idea/sorta like it of guns & such being build right into the transformer it self...

 

Makes more sense really if you think of it than hand held guns.... I mean... these are ROBOTS I'm sure some armys out there would gladly do that to people if they could

They mean his left arm. The one that appears to be a large shield made up of the jet's canopy.

We already have had a Soundwave Transformers toy recently, a repaint of the Machine Wars Soundwave (which was fairly disappointing), so we do know that Hasbro still has the trademark for the name. If they had to change the name, I still say it'd be a nice touch to change it to Soundblaster. (Any chance we'll see a Blaster/Broadcast homage in Galaxy Force?)

And it doesn't really matter how they work between products, 'cause in this litigious society, one company will jump on another simply because the mood strikes them. *shrug*

 

If Creative Labs (or anyone else) decides that another company's "similarly named" product might conceivably cause "marketplace confusion" (read: "we believe our customers are utter morons, and can't tell the difference between a PC sound card and a child's toy if they have the same or similar names."), they won't hesitate to do something about it.

No war, more 'message board politics' i guess you could say...one site released the pics, other site says they obtained them illegally and ruined the surprise for sdcc, and has since banned any posting of the afformentioned pics.

It's cuz 2005 got scooped, so now they're throwing a fit because a site they consider to be "less" than them is getting attention for getting a major scoop.

 

Trust me, if 2005 had gotten the pics first they'd be throwing a party over there instead of banning images and people who post the images. The admin over there is acting like spoiled children who got bested in the spelling bee or something.

I did some price checking when I pre-ordered mine and HLJ was the cheapest with SAL shipping. All the other US sites were about the same price, which all came out to be about $10 more shipped than HLJ shipped.

 

For example BBTS has it for $47.99 plus $6.99 for shipping, HLJ has it for $35.78 plus approx $10 for shipping.
