Is There Going To Be An Extended Dvd Set?

Ok I was wondering if there was going to be some kind of extended edition of ROTS. My only dissapointment about ep.3 was that some of the lightsaber duels were kinda short(general greivous vs obi-wan).

So if there going to be and extended version or deleted scenes?

Exdended... I doubt there will be much more in the DVD version. TPM got a couple of short scenes added back in and AOTC has some minor changes form the theatrical version, so I would think ROTS would have changes along those lines. It has already been anounced that the DVD will have deleted scenes in the bonus features (just like TPM and AOTC). I'm sure someone out there will do a fan edit and put the deleted scenes back in... but course they will change a bunch of stuff they didn't like also.

I am hoping for deleted scenes. Especially Yoda landing on Dagobah. I would have loved to see the Quilon Vos scene but they say it was never filmed. :(

From what I hear, the Dagobah scene was in the digital projection version (don't know because I didn't get to see ROTS in digital. The theater where I saw AOTC in digital is no longer there and the next closest one was a 6 hour drive :)). If it was in the digital version then is should be on the DVD as part of the movie.

I think ROTS had WAAAAY more stuff cut out for time than the other two, though (rather than because it didn't fit the story, or was just crap, I mean). That's my impression, anyway.

That's was my only gripe that it seemed short.  Extra scenes or even a "Director's cut" version would be great!

The thing is, the one you saw WAS the directors cut. Lucas had complete creative freedom with this movie... the cuts he made where his decision. These DVDs you see labeled "directors cut" exist because the director was forced, by the studio, to make changes. Like I say, I think some small stuff will be reintegrated, but not much. Everything else that is deemed fit for viewing will be in the deleted scenes section of the disk... and everything that is not deemed fit for viewing will be used as a ploy to get people to sign up for hyperspace. :)

Lucas stated in the an interveiw that is found in the latest issue of Starlog magazine that the scenes with Padme and the beginnings of the formation of the Rebellion will be included in the DVD release. I heard that the person who did the voice of Grievios has also shot some new stuff for the DVD release as well. I hope he adds more stuff to the DVD as well.

did he specify if it would be integrated into the movie or just as a deleted scene on the bonus features disk?
