Dt's First Cybertron Figures

Picked up my first Cybertron figs today, they had everything from the launch wave with the exception of Thundercracker. Suprisingly enough TRU has actually priced their basics and deluxes to a much lower and more competetive price point this time around. Basics are $9.99 this go around instead of the $12.99 they charged for Energon Basics, and Deluxes are now $14.99 instead of the $17.99 they were in Energon.

 

Anyways, I picked up Ransack and Vector Prime this go around, didn't want to go to crazy. I'm happy to finally have Vector Prime in my hands, I've wanted this figure since we had seen the initial prototype pics. Let me tell you he doesn't disappoint, he looks great !

 

One thing I have to gush about once again is the packaging for Cybertron, I'm absoloutely in love with it. Easily my favourite packaging since the G1 era. anyhow, on to pics:

So how much was VP?.. I take it guys like ransack are deluxes?.. Hmm these prices sound too cheap/good to be true, two bits says they change latter on in the release once the show hits... hmmmmm the deluxe packages I do not like so much, they are overly big & bulky and take up way too much space...

 

How ever I love the boxes too a big plus this time on hasbros side! Maybe they are finaly learning that packaging does make a difference!

That's funny synch because although I do like the box designs my favourite pack designs are actually the basic cards.

- Ransack is a Basic not a Deluxe, he was $9.99 Cdn.

the packages look a little japanish no? thats cool i guess!! i really hate this, i have not been able to finish energon, i'm still missing a good end chunk of figures, now i gotta start getting cybertron?? i'm not made of money!! but i guess the drop in price is going to help out there...

What energon figures are you still missing bro ?

 

umm, most of the limbs for all 3 combiners, i'll be able to complete superion...i need wingsaber, omega sentinal, quickstrick, beachcomber, i think i need that repaint of shockblast/wave?(cant remember, have to look)were there repaints for some of the terrorcons omnicons? i got battle ravage, strong arm, signal flare, but no others, i guess i'm just left with a lot of repaints to get!!

 

 

but i saw all of the new cybertron figs at my TRU today, man i gotta catch up, i'm a little behind, and it just hurts me even more because i dont just collect TF!!

Bro, the Walmart on 4th Avenue in St. Kitts had the last two Constructicon limbs as well as one of the final two Bruticus limbs (purple copter) when I went last night. The Zellers at the Pen has two Sixshots left last time I checked, but I grabbed the only Wingsaber and Grimlock & Swoop they had. There should be Alpha Quintesson still there as well, which I believe is still at TRU too.

 

Now go get those limbs before they disappear !

Just to add a few more:

 

Quickstrike I've never seen, I saw Beachcomber once back in I want to say November at Fourth Avenue and I never saw it again. As you already know, you'll be able to get the Superion limbs no problem, they're all over the place.

 

Repaints of Terrorcons and Omni's that I can think of the top of my head are: Command Ravage, the green Signal Flare repaint, blue Strong Arm repaint and the Cruellock repaint.

crap man, your right beside me, i saw that wing saber the other day, but was unable to pick it up at the time, i went today but it was gone, ya jerk lol!! @smilepunch@ i have to wait until friday before i can go again and get the parts i need, i have a new job now, so its a little harder for me to get around...with my last job i drove around all day, and was able to hit up every walmart, zellers, TRU, Jumbo video, sunrise, form fort erie to st. kitts every other day...now i'm stuck going to the seaway mall and niagara square, thats it!! @hmmm@

To be fair though the Seaway Mall stores aren't too bad, I've found some things first at the Walmart and Zellers there before anywhere else.

yes i'll be able to get the superion limbs, and i guess i have the repaint terror and omnicons, thats good to hear. yeah i think i remember seeing a beach comber too a while back. and yes the seaway is not bad, i picked up the quintesson and the dinobots there, both from the zellers. i've seen an omega sentinal at the penn once, but again was unable to pick it up.

Ditto on the Sentinal here too, I think it was there in December which was extremely bad timing with Christmas presents to buy and all. I wasn't able to pick it up either. I want to try and make my way up to Toronto this weekend because I've been told Omega Supreme's are $19.95 at Walmart and i also want to take another trip to Silver snail.
