I'd rather get the takara version instead of the hasbro one. Since I only plan on buying GF Convoy and the GF Megatron repaint I'd rather go with Takara, which I think has a better quality product than hasbro.

Eh...I'm just waiting for the Hasbro version. In terms of quality it should be about the same as the GF version. Usually any differences are in some minor paint apps, otherwise it's the same thing.

To me that's just not worth paying all that extra money to get. My advise would be to wait until the Cybertron version comes out and then you might be able to find the GF version at a price that's a little more reasonable.

Plus it wouldn't hurt to read some reviews by people who have both versions and were able to do a good comparison. Because you never know, the two might end up being virtually identical and then you would have paid all that extra money for nothing.

It's still one of those things, anymore I just buy hasbro for the generic TF, when it comes to special ones like main characters I'd prefer the takara version. The takara ones just seem more special to me somehow.

Hopefully I'll stumble on one on ebay without $35 shipping and it'll bring the price down.

I had te same prob when I decided too late that I wanted Superlink Prime. They were going for a song. But now they're pretty cheap. So, give it a year or so and you should be able to get one pretty cheap

That's what I thought when I got the Takara Car Robots Prime and Magnus. Of course, at the time it was unknown if or when Hasbro would release them, but it didn't take me long to figure out that for the price I paid, they weren't all THAT special!

Since then, I only buy Takara when it comes to the reissues or if it's a figure that I can get either at the same price or cheaper than a regular Hasbro version.

I just really hate waiting. A month from now I could be dead, the world could explode, whatever, so I want it now...lol.

If I can't find it cheaper then I'll pay $70 for it, but I'm not buying the hasbro version, so waiting for a review of both is a waste of time.

Well if that's your choice then more power to you! Personally I hate to needlessly piss away money that I don't have to for no good reason. :D
