Nice to see more droids talking. Why is there no droids in the Original Trilogy. Palpatine told Anakin to shut them down.

In the prequels both droids and different alien species talk in English and in the originals there are sometimes subtitles.

I saw the movie wednesday at 00h01 and liked it, nothing more.

It's far from being as good as the first trilogy so i am a bit disappointed.

The dialogue was the main problem; some lines were really lame.

Ian Mc Diarmid saves the movie; he is really a different class of actor and had the best lines.

It should have been a lot better; George Lucas is good at creating stories and universes but he is not that good at writing scenarios.

And as far as politics are concerned, it's perfectly clear that the Bush administration is on target.

I have watched all the movies.

I know, I'm just saying that before the Battle Droids just said more phrases than anything and this time they were getting more complete sentences. It gave them more personality.

I do remember Jabba The Hutt and Greedo.

I personally feel that he should have stuck with the non english language in order to fit in with the originals well. If you watch the first 3 for the first times then the next 3 for the first time its gonna be kind of weird.

But we all know that Lucas is trying to reach the kids of this generation more than he did the kids when I was a kid. The alien language didn't really make a difference to me as a kid. Oh well.

I saw it last night and loved it.

The only problem I had was so many characters were cut out. Or I never saw them. The movie knda messed up the toy line. I have baught almost everything and one fourth of it was not there.

Luminara Unduli

Barris Offe

Shaak Ti

Mon Mothma

Jetpack Clone Troopers

AT-TE Gunners

I barely saw any completly white Clone Troopers.

Yoda never road on the Can Cell.

Stass Allie was on a regular Speeder Bike not a BARC Speeder.

What I liked. the space battle could have been longer but I feel that way because it was so good.

Grand Moff Tarkin

Captain Typho

Sio Bibble

Boss Nass

Captain Antilles

Captain Tagge (later Admiral Tagge)

The stuff with Qui-Gon goes down like this. Qui-Gon contacted Yoda. Yoda did not have to learn to contact Qui-Gon why should Obi-Wan have to. What Obi-Wan had to learn is to come back himself to contact others (Luke). Yoda and Obi-Wan learn how to come back from Qui-Gon, that is how the do come back in the Original Trilogy. I don't know where some of you are getting the idea that they had to learn how to talk to the dead, it's the other way around.

Any parents plan baby names in plenty of time before their babies are born. Why is it such a shock that Padme had names already. A boy name and girl name because she did not know which she would have, she got to use both names.

Padme died of a brocken heart or maybe just gave up more from depression. All that cheeesy dialogue betwwen Padme and Anakin was to show how much they loved each other. Anakin broke her heart. If you have ever had a broken heart and really loved that person you have probably wanted to die too. Plus add in what was going on at the time.

It has been explained by Lucas that the Clones age faster and most are dead by ANH. Regular poeple are signg up to join the Empire by then and new poeple are having clones made of them.

Anyone notice the Cloning Facility on Coruscant? It looked alot like the one's on Kamino.

R2-D2 was just awesome.

I saw everyone that there was a figure of except Mon Mothma, my guess though is she was in the Senate scene somewhere when Palpatine annouced the Empire. It's not unusual for Hasbro to throw in some figures that had maybe only a second of screen time.

Clones where everywhere, you just had to look, Im sure as you watch it again you will pick more of these things out. I like the Clones on the walkers when they were looking for Yoda, and those guys that kinda look like Speeder Bike guys look cooler in the movie. They are almost like a camo armor clone. Makes more sence then the all white Speede Bike guys when in a forest.

Captain Antilles was at the end. Bail Organa gave him the droids and told him to have 3PO's mind wiped.

Tarkin was in the end standing next to Vader and Palpatine when they were on the pre-star destroyer bridge looking out at the Death Star being built. (man that thing took 20 yrs to complete). They also showed a bunch of Imperial officers down in the trenches of the bridge when Vader walked down the isle. Very similar to the scene in ESB.

Most if not all the Jedi who have figures where scene getting taken out by the Clones.

Stass Allie was on a Barc Speeder, you could see the fron of it fly over the screen when it broke into two.

I noticed they also left it open with the possibility other Jedi did survive, probably to be used in the tv show that will take place between ROTS and ANH.

Just came back from the movie.

I honestly can't say that I liked it the way I would want to but I can't say it didn't disappoint a little either.

I think the expectations were too high for me... :( It played out much better in my head!

None the less, THE CIRCLE IS COMPLETE now. :)

Like others said, the Clones just suddenly disappeared... the movie was just too fragmented IMO. Pieces! Pieces! :(

I say it's the best of the prequels. I really enjoyed it. My favorite part, Jar-Jar didn't have any lines, AT ALL! Least favorite part, Jar-Jar didn't walk in on Anakin, Palpatine and Mace and "accidentally" get killed. Seriously, it was a lot of stuff to put into one movie, but I liked it alot. I really think the ending was great (especially the part with Qui-gon).

I don't know where to start... I love the original trilogy, like the rest of you. And Episode 1, was the only new prequel movie that came close to capturing the feel and style of the originals. Grant it, Jar Jar could have been toned down. But you had Jabba, you had Tatoonie, you had an awesome villian in Darth Maul, you had two pretty cool Saber Duels, and one great ending with the space ship battle. Now tone down the cheese, and this is easily the best movie of the three. Even with the fart humor,Jar Jar, and medicloreans I'd still argue this was the Best.

Episode 2, a huge disapointment. The Movie started out ok, I mean who wouldn't want to buy some death sticks? But after the Jango Fett/Kenobi showdown, the movie went to crap. More questions were raised, like whos master cypher diaz? who had ordered the clones? Wheres the bounty hunters? The the battle arena sucked, every aspect of it. The CGI aliens were lame, how Jango died was lame, C3po was lame, The show down with Yoda and Count Dooku was ok, but it was to fast, and to jumpy, couldn't tell what was going on. I'd say when Anakin was swinging two sabers, was probably the best part of this movie.

Now Episode 3... I don't know what was going on. We have clone troopers warring on several systems and planets. Everything is cluttered, and happening to fast. From start to finish the movie was one huge mess. The whole rescue of Palpatine was choppy, RD added yet more cheese to this new movie. Grevious, was also cheesy, but didn't bother me to much. Then they tossed in Chewbacca, but the whole scene with the wookies, lasted all of what 1 minute? I mean what was the point? Then palpatine got really cheesy in the showdown with Mace Windu...

And what was up with all the other Jedi's? Palpatine swung his Saber 3 times, and three Jedi's died. This movie made the jedi's look like weaklings. I mean the clones easily assasinated all the main jedi council members with no trouble or fight at all. (with the exception of one kid jedi at the temple). Heck all the Jedis needed to do was use the jedi mind trick, and they could have controlled the clones.

The movie ended right, but what happen with all the droid armies between episode 3 and 4? Whats the deal with Qui Gon? What happened with all the unanwsered questions about the clone army being made? I still have to many questions, and this movie only raised more. And Lucas made the Jedis look weak. Anyways I may go watch it again, but I will stick with the Phantom Menace as being the BEST of the new movies.

Was the movie good?Yes it was.Was the movie perfect? No.

It was without a doubt the best of the prequels but still had its flaws. It took Lucas a couple of movies to get his groove back and make a film that has a close feel to the Holy Trilogy. It links up somewhat well but there are still a few things that dont mesh.Wished we could have seen more of the politics involved like in the novel and maybe even a mention of the petition of the 2000.Where was Mon Mothma???

Anakin was played like the universes biggest fiddle but it was good to see that he had plans to overthrow Palpy.

BTW Did anyone else catch the Falcon in the scene where Ani,Obi,R2,and Palpy are docking to meet the Senators??When their ship is coming in to the docking bay you can clearly see the Falcon docking a couple levels down.Cool little cameo.

I did not find the Lucas cameo.Did anyone else??

The battle on the Wookie homeworld was very very short. It didn't give you any idea how the wookies fight. They made that one scene with the explosives and boom it was over. What the hell? Can i please see some wookies use their STRENGTH TO rip some droids to pieces.

The Battle droids voices were just lame. THey need more deeper robotic voices. Why didn't they give Super Battle droids voices? Ugh...

To many people see the OTC through "rose colored glasses".  This movie , as well as EP I and II, are on the exact same level as the OTC. Cheesey dialogue, special effects driven. Alot of people that are nitpicking are just doing it because the movies dont play out the way you have imagined it in your head for 20 - 30 yrs. This movie is by the 2nd or 3rd best of the six movies. Personally for me the worst of the six movies is by far Return of the Jedi. Talk all you want of how quickly the Jedi die in Ep III, but look how quickly the Empire is defeated in Ep VI, and by teddy bears, no less.

I agree 100%. I enjoyed it. If others want to fricking nitpick go ahead. Those are the types that will never be satisfied with anything.

That is one thing that is wrong with movie goers today, everyone wants to nitpick and rip apart the movies.

Just STFU and go see it with an OPEN mind and try enjoy it.

For me it is the completion to a circle that started when I was 6 1/2.. I left the theater a 34 year old Star Wars fan who was satisfied.

Remember people, no movie EVER gives you everything that you want out if it..

Wow you're generalizing a LOT here, and y'know what it only makes YOU look worse.

The Empire dies with it's emperor; but the war can't be over yet. The rebels destroyed only a few Stardestroyers in ROTJ. It's said that the Imperial Navy has something like 25000 ISD.

What's nice in ROTJ are the lines between Palpatine and Luke: "your faith in your friends is yours, etc..."

Dude,

I’m in the movie business, and I got to say it had to be pretty hard to film and edit a movie in which everyone knows how it’s going to end. This, IMOP, was BETTER or just as good as Return of The Jedi. The movie was very fast paced; however, there was A LOT of story to cover. How does Darth Vader become so evil? He kills the very person he was trying to save. Man that is powerful. This Movie could has easily been a Three and half hour epic, so as an editor you have to make decisions on what to keep in.

I was not clear about Tarken-Tagge. Those I saw and thought were cool that they were there.

All those others I saw I hope were in I just missed them. Anyone remember where exactly they were. Might help me spot them the next time I go see the movie.

Why could Anakin come back as a spirit? I don't know. Maybe Palpatine knew how and taught him. Maybe he was so powerful he figured it out on his own. Maybe Qui-Gon contacted him right after he died. Who knows.

I ever wondered why were the movies so short. Probably because it has to please both kids and grown up.

I wouldn't mind 4hours movies just like LOTR in order to develop further political plots and characters doubts/feelings/weaknesses.

For example, it's clear to me that the Jedi lost because they became too proud of themselves and too confident in their abilities just like Yoda said in EpII. That aspect is important and you can see it trough Windu's attitude towards Anakin. Same for Obi-Wan: he knew for Padmé and the kid(s) but said nothing. All those mistakes led to the final disaster.

All this cannot to be made more explicit in a 2h20 movie, that's why many people didn't get it.

I LOVED how Ki-Adi-Mundi died. I mean I like the character but the music and the look it was just a perfect jedi death scene. The others were lame especially Sasaee Tinn's and Agen Kolars. You would think the Jedi still around would be the most experienced at this point and it would take a little more than a few shots to kill them. Sure the clones had the element of surprise, but I just think it would have been nice if one Jedi had a longer death scene than the others where he/she actually fought back for a good 4-5 minutes.

Also a little disappointed they didn't throw a Quinlan Vos cameo in there. He was in episode I so it's not that ridiculous that he would be in ep 3, though that is probably wishful thinking.

I liked how the guards had more sceen time in this movie than in the others, but still it would have been nice if they had died like Grievous's bodyguards, not slowly but not by a flip of the hand. Really disappointed that it seemed they were all red in this movie and no blue, with not explanation why he changed the colors.

Overall I like this movie a whole lot more than the other prequels, but even so I think the other prequels really benefit from such a good ending to the trilogy that I don't hate them as much as I did before (I actually like ep 2, just not ep 1)

After thinking about it all night, I wouldn't of changed anything with the movie. But I do wish there was a little more to the name "Darth Vader", didn't really like how Palpatine just come up with it. He was like "You shall be known as........Darth Vader". Of course thats not word for word.

Good movie it was.

[quote (almost right up there with Vader, as Vader lost points with me after his Tantrum at the end of RotS.)

That whole scene would make sense for Anakins character.

One thing people tend to forget is that 1. Anakin just became an armored Vader, therefore he is not going to show signs of the Vader from the OT plain and simple. The one thing he tried so hard to prevent ended up happening anyway.

Many years lapse between ROTS and ANH and with the character aging I'm sure his attitude changes as well, but don't expect a large transition from a twenty something year old Vader of the PT to a mild aged one of the OT to all of a sudden occur just because he puts on a black mask that instant.

I don't think anyone could have explained that scene better. That exactly what I thought.

All you have to do is think about it. He tried so hard to prevent Padme's death. He pretty much turned to the dark side because he was told he could save her then. And then to find out he was the one that ended up killing her after all he did to try and prevent her from dying. He was SO in love with her and he lost her because of what he did. So yeah, I can understand why he acted the way he did in that scene.

I agree. He is not going to loose all the emotions he ever had because of a mask.
