Eat It, Scalpers!

Just a bit of fun, maybe a little "bragging".

I wasn't planning to go out on Sunday, but then my brother wanted to hit EB Games which is right next door to Target. So, I figured I'd head out. As I reached the Toy Aisle, I saw a guy walking with an employee, holding a Target Clone. As I asked about where he got it, the employee told me "Um... there's a whole bunch right over there." Sure enough, once I got to the Star Wars display, about a dozen Clones were there.

Yesterday I stopped by (shudder) Wal-Mart to see if they had gotten any new stuff in, since I also found a new Wookie Warrior at Target. Sure enough, they had restocked including both Red and Blue Royal Gaurds! I snagged those, and then....

Went home and opened them!

I threw away the packages!

Oohhhh, those are some of the best ROTS figs produced so far:) Very high quality haul you got there my friend!

Edit: Don't you love that feeling when you see something you're looking for hanging on the pegs right in front of you. I swear that everytime it happens to me, I literally lose my breath:)

AWESOME!!!

I got a Q, seeing you opened your wookie warrior, did his arm fall off? My cousin opened one and his arm fell off, it looked like it could pop back on, but it wouldn't, I told him if he cant get it to stay, that I can perform surgery, or he can take it back... just wondering if anyone else had the problem...

Oh, and last weekend my big score was a new digital camera... I'll be posting a lot of pics...

JoeRhyno - I'm not sure how old your cousin is and how well the Wookiee holds up to active play... but mine's shown no indication that the arm is loose at all. The only problem I've had with him is that it takes a bit to finaggle his legs into a position that will keep his balance, made more difficult by the slight resistance of his legs joints because of the action feature.

Synch - I actually did pick up 2 of each Guard, I just haven't opened the other two yet. The first ones were a "test" to make sure they were as cool as everyone else's description made them out to be. I'm going to go pick up a Palpatine, and then they'll have some guard duty to do!

Classic - I saw a lone Red Guard at the big display at the front of the store, and it made my pulse quicken a bit. When I got back to the toy section and found more, I did need a second to catch my breath.

Hmmm... Star Wars figs and Star Trek figs on the same shelf?!

Well, right now I don't have a "proper" display area. I don't have room right now for any shelves, so what you see is actually just on the one shelf of my computer desk. I've got Star Trek, Star Wars, and the GI Joes are off-screen in these pictures.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been able to reconicle being a fan of both Star Trek and Star Wars...

No, I didn't repaint the Wookiee Warrior at all. But I saw somewhere that there are supposedly two different paint schemes. The one I got has been the only one I've seen so far, so I had no chance to compare.

Funny thing, I didn't even know there were two different colors for the Wookiee so I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and they had the new figures out so I bought a Wookiee there along with a SA Clone trooper. Then remembering that Target had the sale on their figures I went there and bought a second Wookiee along with another SA Clone trooper. It wasn't until I got home that I discovered that the Wookiees were different colors. Pretty cool and one of those nice surprises.

Saw the Target clones today and for the likes of me I just couldn't pluck down the $13 for it. Not when you can get one of those electronic lightsabers for a couple of bucks more. Just seems way too expensive for one clone trooper. I've been wanting to get the Target exclusive.
