Original Trilogy

Hey does anyone know if they are still going to be releasing the figures and vehicles from The Original Trilogy Collection alongside with ROTS?

From what Hasbro said at Celebration 3, it's going to be strictly E3 for a while; I wouldn't expect anything from the OT (or for that matter, TPM or AOTC), until maybe late 2005 or early 2006.

Didn't they say they were going to start releasing all the old characters in new sculpts? (Hopefully VOTC/ROTS style...)

I thought that the OTC and VOTC stuff released this fall in conjunction with the release of the films on DVD was designed to be a feast before the famine.

 

I always assumed that it was a last big push of original trilogy stuff before focusing solely on Episode III for at least the remainder of 2005.

Well yeah, I don't think there will be any lines until ROTS finishes up, but I bet we see some EE army-builders, like maybe a VOTC Stormtrooper set. Plus, we'll be getting the Evolution sets, which will have OT stuff in them.

Actually they're supposedly gonna release one according from what I heard from someone, don't know how true it is but I'll just wait and see what happens

well thats good news... I procrastinated too much on those and now I can't find them except for a whole bunch of Lando figures and Millenium Falcons.

Yeah Landos, some yodas, couple princess leias, and a ton of obi wans mixed with a little millenium falcon and some jedi council sets with swapped figures equals a nice unhealthy star wars stew that is my Toys R Us.

 

I'm waiting till they clearance that Millenium Falcon. Is it the fact that it's a bad toy that it clogs pegs or is it just too expensive? What about votc lando and leia, are they cool figures just over produced at a high price tag?

The VOTC Lando is definitely one cool figure - I think it's worth the price. I guess Lando's just not as popular as the other guys...

 

Leia's alright, but not quite as good a likeness as Lando. Still pretty good, though.

D'oh! I forgot about those, the "Battle Packs", and the Unleashed Han Solo in Stormtrooper disguise. I haven't heard anything 'solid' about the death star; but, I'd definitely like to see it happen. Actually, imo, Hasbro's 'we can't comment on 2006' seemed to hint at a couple of upcoming OT items. @hmmm@

Don't feel bad. The OTC line in general was a little hard to come by. Unless it was the Dagobah wave or the Generals wave, it barely showed here.

 

I'm still missing a few repaints that I wanted both carded and loose versions of.
