First Look At Brandon Routh In Superman Costume!

Can't wait to see the 13" figure of movie Supes! I think it might evenn turn out better than the 13" comic version with the droopy eyes, oversized 'S' shield and round gold trucker belt buckle, which kinda clashes with the rest of the suit.

 

I really prefer the small 3D chest crest over the big shield. Makes Supes' body stand out more and looks sleeker, not like he's wearing a big "eat at Superman's" sign around his chest.

the only major problem i see is that his "S" on his chest needs to be a little larger...and there's something funky about those boots but i just can't put my finger on it...

I dont know but I wanna laugh when I was looking at this pic but I just can't point out whats wrong.

The imsignia is the only thing in that picture that doesn't make me wan't to throw up.

IMO, the costume is fine as it is.

Its got blue tights, red underpants, boots, a cape and a "S" on the chest.

That's Superman--Routh just has to carry the part the rest of the way.

This is just one picture--there's a pic of Routh as Clark Kent on a street in Sydney too--but that is all we've seen.

I'd like to hear a few lines, see how he moves, hear some of the sound track.

 

When Richard Donner made the first big-budget Superman, back in 1978, he realized he had to overcome the camp of the Batman tv series. To do that he insisted.............nay, DEMANDED that the character of Superman be treated with the utmost sincerity and integrity. He put up signage all over the production offices with the word "verisimilitude"--which essentially means "having the appearance of truth".

 

This movie looks like it might have some real sincerity behind it even with this one pic--but time will tell.

 

Almost anyone knew Catwoman was going to bomb outright once they saw the pic of Halle Berry is that God-awful costume.

:) Hm, yeah I thought the custume looks a little bit strange too.

-Yup, the S on the chest need to be a little bit larger.

-The underwear need to stretch up above the billy button/ waist line. It looks too short right now like he's wearing a bikini.
