Im also thinking of getting a few of these. Is it worth the money? They are cheap, but still, I dont like spending when its not worth it. Do they have any articulation or anything "special"?

also, whats the difference between the "waves"? I cant find any really. Im looking at a Soundwave Wave 1 and a Soundwave 2.5, I cant see any difference.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. I say if you like smaller items and are into the G1 style of transformations, then yes. Theyre also cool for display purposes, especially if you get custom G1 boxes for them like I have mine sealed. Even if you dont collect the entire series, you cant go wrong with a Prime and Megatron.

Soundwave, the seekers, Prime/Magnus, sideswipe/RA, prowl/bluestreak, and Hot Rod are all awesome.

 

Megatron and bumblebee/cliffjumper are pretty much worthless...

I think they are worth it. It's G1 toys shrunk down. If you love G1, you will love them. The only thing special is that they are small.

When did it get cancelled!? I guess that explains the severe dry spell on them. I would say if your interested then get them. They are pretty neat for such small little figs. They work really well with the Micromasters and Minicons if your into collecting those.

I don't think they were ever formally cancelled, and they just fell out of Takara's attention span.

As you said, they're cheap. If you're a fan of G1, they're worth it. They look great displayed with Unicron.

 

The only thing with them is whether or not you're going to want the complete set. The complete set is NOT WORTH what you'd have to pay for it. That didn't stop me, but after over $400 for what amounts to 19 figures smaller than Armada Minicons, its not considered a good buy.

Im probably only gonna get 1 or 2 Primes *series 1 and 2.5, 1 Megatron, and the soundwave. And maybe Prime 2.5's trailer.. but that's a lot of money. I might also get 1 starscream. So its probably only going to run me 40 or do dollars, if I dont get the trailer.

The second version is considered the "Anime" version because of the color they used from the G1 cartoon compared to the original toy coloring.

they are ok, I gave them out as christmas presents last year, and everyone who got one was happy, but now that they are not making them anymore I would say not, unless you find a place where you get um cheap

I love these!! I bought a case of Series 1 from AFX.com about a year ago. I got some singles of Series 2 a few weeks ago. The Megatron is sweet...
