damn that sucks. I was hoping to get my hands on this. You would think that Hasbro could simply offer it to another store as an excl, instead of just letting walmart kill the idea.

 

I'm thinking we may see this further down the line, seems like a waste just to completely cancel.

Thats what I'm thinking since its not allready out yet, I can so see it as an exclusive of some kind. Perhaps not in those colors but just the toy it self... Not that I don't like those colors though, for funky colors there done quite amazingly well !! Only thing I'd change would be the yellow on some of the parts, like the hands & such... Other wise IMO its cool

 

That or I can see it as an takara reissuse down the line as well

Hasbro should have seen how successful the Predaking giftset was - if they just put these back into their original Seacon colours and did a non-exclusive reissue I'd bet they'd make a fortune on them.

Well, don't think it is cancelled yet. Let's see since this smells like the megatron megabolt incident that happen a while back. The megabolt toy was for the Beast machines line and never came out in time because of the Robots in Disguise series. So it was said to be cancelled and it appeared that way too. The toy appeared to be in cancelled right after production started since some images of the figures came with the insert bubbles and such.

 

Shortly after seeing one on ebay, a lot more appeared, some missing accessories, had red missles instead of blue ones(it suppose to have blue missles) and a few that were headless. The average winning bids were around a 100 and would stay that way until months later, they were word that these figures would be Kaybee exclusives for the Robots in Disguise line.

 

In truth, the ones that started to appear on ebay were the Robots in Disguise exclusives(red missles) but were missing the package. The ppl who did bidded on these were pissed since they spent 100 bucks for a fig, where they were mass produced as an exclusive.

 

I assume this figure is delayed because the universel ine is over and maybe created for the cybertron line as an exclusive.

I wonder why the fist holes are so large? It says they can't hold any weapons, and from the size of them I'd agree..

For G1 One Version and For BW2 God Neptune, It had like Square "Connectors" in their hands, allowing them to hold the weapons.

 

PiranhaKing's is removed so it is harder for him to hold weapons (unless you use different hands or find a way to put the connectors in Piranhaking's [yellow] hands)

Seeing it's just a prototype, the fists probably aren't complete. The final version would have those connector parts in them so they can hold the weapons. That's probably another one of Hasbro's ways of trying to make the prototypes undesireable
