Minibot Set #2

Okay since we got the news that reissue #20 is gonna be a second Minibots set, I wanna see who everyone thinks will be in it. We'll see who can come the closest. My guess for the set of 6 is:

 

Brawn

Cliffjumper

Windcharger

Seaspray

Beachcomber

Wheelie

 

Now then who do you all think will be in it?

:) Everything in that list plus Beach Comber - he had the best looking bots in both modes of the group.

 

The first minibots came with 6 figures, I think the second box will also come with 6 figures.

Well I guess that seems like the most likely list. I don't see them doing any Throttlebots, but that would make a neat set. They could use series 3 minobots too. Who knows.

Actually I was hoping they would release the rest of them soon, and here we are. I like the Minibots. Granted they are not as cool as say....Sunstreaker (Is he ever getting a freakin reissue!!!), but still cool. Plus if they get all these other characters outta the way they are gonna have to do the ones we really want!

And what makes you say that? If you remember those where slated for the first Minibot release but they decided against it. I dont see what would cause them to change their mind back.

I predict... a marketing mixture...

think about it... ppl like me aim to get all the 1st season characters 1st... So they mixed the first batch with 2nd season characters to guarantee we'd have to buy this new reissue.

I predict 1 or 2 season one with some seaason 2 + possibly 3 as well.

I'd bet Cliffjumper and Brawn too, but with cartoon-accurate heads like what Bumblebee got.

Well, Cliffjumper for sure will be included. After Bumblebee, he was by far the most popular minibot. Personally, I was surprised he wasn't in the first batch...

 

Brawn's pretty popular too.

 

Since they've also been produced recently as keychains, it's far more likely Takara will use them again, rather than six brand new molds that haven't been used for ages. It's just easier that way for them. Kind of like how they decided to release Soundblaster with Buzzsaw instead of one of the other tapes...

Bleh to Minibots. I think it'll be a set of 6 different Wheelie repaints.

 

I honestly can't see them ever releasing additional tapes - from a marketing point of view, it doesn't make sense, as really you ought to have Soundwave/Soundblaster (or Blaster) to want the tapes. If you want to sell as much as possible, it's bad business to have sales dependant on what people bought before.

 

Give us Dinobots/Devastator instead please!

I didn't like the idea of paying $35.00 for the first minibots...now again for some newer ones? Man, can't they cut it to $15.00 or something?
